CHAPTER 20- Party

Lacey P.O.V.

Every game was done and it was time to go home. I walk out of the court with Minghao sharing conversations with each other until someone interrupt us.

"hey Lacey, can I excuse Minghao from you? We'll be quick I swear!" I turn to Minghao and he gave me a disapprovingly look. I mouth him 'why?' and he just respond quietly 'No'.

"uh...-" I was cut off when she pull Minghao closer to her.

"Thank you so much! I owe you one" she said pull him away but the guy gave me a 'help' look before they could get any further.

I don't know what to do, I feel shy to pull back Minghao but I couldn't refuse the man.

I pull the other arm of him and the girl got stopped as she turn her head to me confusedly.

"there was an emergency in his dorm and we really need to go! Sorry!" I shouted as I ran away dragging the man with me. Kyulkyung was left dumbfounded staring at us get away.

We ran and ran until we're far from the school. I can't manage to ran any further my breath was starting to shorten. I stopped and lean my hands on my knees, hardly breathing.

"hey you ok?" Minghao asked. I wanted to respond and ask him for help but I ended up coughing. "w-wait!" He immediately open his shoulder bag and hand me his water bottle.

I took it from his grasp and chug down the liquid to my throat to calm my nerves down. I almost fell on the ground from being exhausted.

"thanks..." I mumble, I could barely talk.

"you looked like you're having a hard time breathing? Are you ok?" I nodded and gave him a thumbs up.

"we just ran a whole lap and I have a low stamina" I tried to lie about it and laughed it out but the man doesn't look like he's buying it.

"sorry, I shouldn't have forced you to take me away from Kyulkyung." he said as we started walking.

"it's fine, it's my decision anyway. But why didn't you want to go with her?"

"I had a bad feeling about it" my face scrunch and looked at him confusedly.

"like what?"

"she's nice tho don't get me wrong, but sometimes when she drags me away, it's either she will bring me to her full girls group of friends or force me to shop with her but you know every man's nightmare is to get stuck with a girl in a mall and all that they can do is to watch them and wait for them to get done. It's a very horrible moment that I have ever encountered" he explained.

"woah... Seems like you had a hard time"

"yup" he said popping the p.

We continued our stroll and I was surprised to see us arriving at my house. I didn't tend to sent us here.

"oh we're here, do you want to stop by for ramyeon?" I asked him.

"is it ok?"

"of course, come with me." I walk to the door as the man tailed me.

After getting pass through my locks, we finally got in. I told him to stay on the couch first while I changed my clothes. I ran downstairs after I got rid of my school uniform and opened the television for the man.

"you can just chill there while I cook your ramyeon" I smiled at him and he agreed.

I walk to the kitchen and started cooking the noodles. I've decided to cook teokbokki too just to add more foods.
