Amber’s P.O.V.
In the evening, Calum was still with me, my parents were out for dinner. We were sitting on the couch in the living room, watching skins. “I don’t get Effy” he mumbled, “why is she running away now?” he asked. “She’s hallucinating” I said. Once the episode ended with a cliffhanger, I wanted to stand up but Calum held me back and pulled me towards him, making me fall onto his lap. “Calum!” I shrieked and then started to laugh. “Snuggleeeees” he whined like a little kid, pouting as he made puppy eyes. “Aww, Calum” I said and rested my head on his chest, letting him wrap his arms around my waist. “I’m cooold” he whined and I chuckled. It was July and I wasn’t used to this reverse seasons down under here. “There, you said it yourself, you’re not hot” I said and he hit my arm playfully “But I am” he said.
After a while I felt my eyelids getting heavy and Calum started to sing quietly. Calum’ voice is one of the very few things that can shut me up. His voice calms me down everytime I hear it. “Oh, Florida, please be still tonight / don’t disturb this love of mine / look how she’s so serene / you’ve gotta help me out / and count the stars to form in lines / and find the words we’ll sing in time / I wanna keep her dreaming / it’s my one wish, I won’t forget this / I’m outdated, overrated, Morning seems so far away / So I’ll sing a melody / and hope to God she’s listening / sleeping softly while I sing / and I’ll be your memories / your lullaby for all the times / hoping that my voice could get it right.”
And I was listening

Calum’s P.O.V.
I saw her slowly falling asleep as I sang, saw herself fighting to keep her eyes open until she couldn’t fight it anymore. “If luck is on my side tonight / my clumsy tongue will make it right / and wrists that touch / it isn’t much, but it’s enough / to form imaginary lines / forget your scars, we’ll forget mine / the hours change so fast / oh god, please make this last” I brushed my fingers over her battle scars and saw her fast asleep on my head. I smiled and continued to sing, afraid that she might wake up if I don’t. “’cause I’m outdated, overrated / Morning seems so far away / so I’ll sing a melody / and hope to god she’s listening, sleeping softly while I sing / and I’ll be your memories / your lullaby for all the times / hoping that my voice could get it right”
I had fallen asleep, because when I woke up, it was dark outside. I heard a car in the street, the engine was killed and I heard doors being slammed, then a key turn in the door. Her mum walked into the living room. “Am- oh hi Calum” she said. “Hello” I said and smiled, pointing to her daughter, still fast asleep, snuggled into my chest. Her father soon followed and smiled at me as he saw his daughter asleep on the couch “I can carry her upstairs if you want me to” I offered. Her mum chuckled quietly “You could also just wake her up” she said. “But I don’t want to” I said and her father tried to keep himself from laughing “I wouldn’t want to wake her up too, especially not if I were you because that’d totally get you on her bad side” he said and I chuckled. Her parents walked towards the kitchen and I carefully removed her hands from my shirt, lifted her head up a little and stood up, then lifted her up from the couch and began to walk up the stairs. “C-calum” she whispered. I looked down to see her still fast asleep. Sleeptalking… weird and… cute. I laid her down on her bed carefully, then pulled the covers over her. Her dad walked into the room quietly and looked at me “Do you want to stay? It’s already about 1 am and I guess your parents wouldn’t mind” he said and I nodded. “But” he warned “you sleep on the floor” “Of course” I said politely and her father walked out of the room again. I grabbed the extra duvet she always had, god knows why, and a pillow. I took off my jeans, then I laid down on the floor. “Calum?” she asked quietly. “Shh” I said, “I didn’t mean to wake you up” She half-smiled into her pillow. “But I’m cold” she said and I looked at her “So you’re not hot as well” I said and she giggled quietly “Okay, we’re both not hot, now come and cuddle me” she said. I huffed and got up from the floor again, then laid down next to her. “I’ll only stay if you promise me to sleep now” I mumbled into her hair. She smiled “Sing again” I chuckled and began to sing where I stopped “You could crush me / please don’t crush me / ‘cause I’m a dreamer for sure / and I won’t let you down / I swear this time I mean it / so I’ll sing a melody / and hope to god she’s listening, sleeping softly while I sing / and I’ll be your memories / your lullaby for all the times / hoping that my voice could get it right” And with that she was already fast asleep again, her hands clutching my shirt, her head close to my neck. I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her closer to me. And that was the moment I realized I’m in love with her.

 A/N:
Sorry this chapter is so short ut this cuteness was too much for me to handle, I can't even.
The song was "I swear this time I mean it" by Mayday Parade and I love it so much, I always listen to it when I'm tired haha and I just had the idea for this moment while I was alost falling asleep and yeah. This is what happened :)
