Calum’s P.O.V.

Mali got out of the room and left me with a smirking Luke. “Finally, god” Luke breathed and I sent him a glare. “What?” he asks, lifting his hands up in defense “I’m just so proud of you Calum” he says, mimicking Mali’s voice. I just turned around and sat on my bed and soon enough, Luke sat down next to me. “No seriously, this is good” he said and gave me a sincere smile. “Uh, thanks?” I said sarcastically and Luke chuckled. “How’d you do it?” he asked and I looked down on my lap “Well I haven’t really asked HER out” I said while I began to fiddle with my fingers. “More like, I asked her father if it was okay with him” I blurted out and Luke started to laugh. “So you” he paused and tried to stop laughing “you have a date with her father or what” I glared at him and shook my head “No, gosh. I think I’m gonna ask her out uh… tomorrow?” Luke shook his head “It’s already 4am, you’re asking her out later TODAY” I huffed and Luke smirked “So, what’s the plan?” he asked and I looked at him “What plan?” “The plan” “huh?” “How are you gonna ask her, dumbfuck” Luke said. I shrugged my shoulders “Dunno” I mumbled. It’s crazy, three weeks ago I didn’t even know her, I thought she was uninteresting, and now we were so close. I felt like we’ve known each other for years, the same feeling I had around the boys, just with the aspect that she’s a girl and I don’t think the lads are attractive… “Well, let’s see..” Luke trailed off and tapped on his phone screen until he showed me his messages with her.

LUKE

*How did you like the bay today?*

AMBER

*Amazing, I love it so much argh. I wish I could be there all the time*

“Luke are you telling me to take her on a cliché date?” Luke held his hands up in defense “Hey, you don’t have to do what I say, okay?” “No.. Actually, maybe it’s a good idea” I said and smiled at the idea that began to form in my head. “Yup, well in this case, I rest my case” Luke said and stood up from the bed, threw a controller at me and turned on my PS3. “When did we say we were playing?” I asked and Luke grinned cockily. “I have to be paid for my help so shut up” he said as we began to play FIFA.

Amber’s P.O.V.

After breakfast I walked back in my room and sat down on my bed, admiring the charm bracelet. I looked at every charm. The infinity one was thin and just plain, beautiful. The ladybird was colored, the guitar was black and white, the ‘a’ was simple, the flower was white with a little clear gem in the middle. Then the heart. It was simple, except there was a little A engraved on one side and I smiled at it. I thought about my party and especially the part after the party, when Calum brought me home. I was definitely having a minor to major crush on him, and I could just hope he felt the same way. But then again, who am I kidding? He could have any girl here, so why would he want me? Ugh. I brushed the thought off and picked some clothes out of my dresser, went into the bathroom and took a shower. While I was showering, I sang again. Obsession, I just can’t not sing in the shower, don’t blame me.

“My ship went down / in a sea of sound / when I woke up alone / I had everything / a handful of moments / I wish I could change / and a tongue like a nightmare / that cut like a blade/ in a city of fools / I was careful and cool / but they tore me apart like a hurricane / A handful of moments I wish I could change / but I was carried away / Give me therapy / I’m a walking travesty / but I’m smiling at everything / therapy, you were never a friend to me / you can keep all your misery”

Quietly singing, I dried off myself with a towel and put on my clothes, then brushed my hair and blow dried it. I didn’t hear anything while I began singing again, this time really loud

“Straight off the plane to a new hotel / just touched down, you can never tell / a big house party with a crowded kitchen / people talk shh but we don’t listen / Tell me that I’m wrong but I do what I please / way too many people in the Adison Lee / Now I’m at the age when I know what I need oh woah / midnight memories oh woah oh / baby you and me / stumbling in the street / singing singing singing sing-“ I was cut off by another voice continuing the song “singing / Midnight memories / oh woah oh / anywhere we go never say no / Just do it do it do it v 5 foot something with the skinny jeans / don’t look back, baby follow me” I winced in shock and turned around to see Calum smirking at me. “5’8”” I said and he chuckled. “How did you even get in here?” I asked and quickly looked around the bathroom to see if there was anything embarrassing lying around. Phew, no there wasn’t. “Uh, front door, duh” he said, ”I rang the doorbell, your mum let me in” “oh” I said and then I started to braid my hair to one side in a fishtail braid.
