Amber’s P.O.V.
I had been about a month since we painted my room, and that day, I just got home from school the boys had been at some kind of meeting, when my phone rang. “Calum?” “Amber? Go get changed, we’re picking you up in ten minutes, hurry up” “Uh, okay?” I ran upstairs and changed into a grey shirt with a vintage batman print plus black tight jeans, then put my converse on again. In the bathroom, I brushed my hair and let it fall over my shoulders, then quickly checked my makeup. I ran back downstairs, grabbed my phone and the doorbell rang. I opened the door and was nearly tackled by all four guys hugging me at the same time. “WE HAVE THE BEST NEWS EVER” Michael shouted, Luke was just grinning like an idiot, Calum was laughing and Ashton shouted “JUST GET IN THE CAR; WE HAVE NO TIME”
So we all got in Ashton’s car and buckled up, Ashton and Michael in the front, Calum, Luke and I in the back. “So what’s the news?” Calum grabbed my hand “Hold onto my hand because you might faint” he said slowly. “What?” “Okay, guys” Michael said “3, 2, 1!” “WE’RE GOING ON TOUR WITH ONE DIRECTION” “WHAT?!” I started screaming and somehow managed to hug both Luke and Calum at the same time. “OH MY FUCKING GOD ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!” “No, we’re not” Ashton laughed, trying to concentrate on the traffic. “OH MY GOD” I cheered.
After I calmed down, they dropped another bomb “So, don’t freak out now” Calum said calmly “but we’re on our way to meet them” “What?! Oh my god, what are you doing, my heart” I breathed, hiding my face behind my hands. Luke let out a chuckle “They were in Adelaide and we’re meeting them at… guess where?” “ROSE BAY” Michael shouted. “Michael! Come on I wanted her to guess” I couldn’t wrap my head around what the fuck was happening right now.
I was hiding behind the boys’ backs while we were walking closer and closer towards my favourite place in all times. “Hey!” someone shouted. I peeked over Ashton’s shoulder and saw ZAYN FUCKING MALIK. “Hey, I’m Louis” someone said. The boys introduced themselves and then stepped to the side, revealing me. Fuck. “Hey, who’s your lady friend?” Zayn asked, walking closer. “I’m Amber” I managed to say, without stuttering. “She’s Cal—she’s close friends with us” Michael explained. I smiled as Liam and Niall were walking towards us. “Hey!” Niall gave a wave, Liam walked over and shook our hands. “Calum, Luke, Michael, Ashton and…?” Niall trailed off “Amber” I said and smiled shyly. “Hi Amber, I’m Niall” “I know” I chuckled. Niall gave me a weird look, then smiled “right, we’re famous” I chuckled quietly when Harry walked up to me and gave me a hug. “Hi” he said and I felt my cheeks heat up. I mean, HARRY STYES WAS HUGGING ME. “Aww come on Harry, give us a chance” Niall said and joined the hug, and soon I was tangled in a group hug with One Direction. “Okay, I feel ignored” Luke said and joined the hug. “Luuuuke” Michael whined and hugged Luke’s back. “Guys, are you serious?” Ashton sighed, but Calum pushed him towards the crowd of people and somehow, we were all cuddled up in a massive group hug. “Okay, we’re weird” Louis said and we all untangled us from each other.
The guys were talking, so I excused myself and went for a walk along the beach. But I wasn’t alone for a long time, when I felt a hand on my shoulder. “Are you okay?” I turned around to face Niall “Yeah, I just feel a bit useless” I said quietly, looking to the ground. Thank god he was just as tall as I am and not shorter, that would’ve been so awkward. “You’re not. Wanna go back or do you want me to join you?” “Mind if you do?” “Nope” he said “I’m just gonna tell the others” I waited and watched Niall talk to the group of boys in the sand. Calum looked almost… jealous? But no, if he was he would’ve already made a move, right? Niall walked back to me and smiled. “So, how are you?” he asked, trying to get the conversation started. I smiled back “Good, what about you?” “Amazing but jetlagged” he laughed, running a hand through his hair. “Sucks” I said. “So, Calum said you weren’t from here earlier” he said. “Yup, I’m from Germany.. well kind of” Niall’s eyes widened “That’s the other end of the world! .. I mean, that’s Europe, that’s where England is… this is so far away” I chuckled at his reaction “Yeah, my dad is Australian and met my mum on a vacation in America, they moved to Germany and then we moved here about three months ago” “Hmmm” Niall mumbled. We had been talking for about an hour and were already walking back towards the others when Harry came up to us. “Ah, there you are. You should come back, Calum’s zoned out the whole time and Luke said it’s because of you” he said and we went back to everyone again. Calum was standing near to the waves, talking to someone. I sat back down in the circle and Niall planted his butt down right next to me. “Sorry, that was my mum” Calum mumbled, turning around. He smiled at me and went to sit down to my left.
In the evening, it started to get cold, and come on, as you might know by now, I always get cold. I tried to keep my teeth from shattering, but somehow I must’ve done a pretty bad job. Niall turned to me “You’re cold” “A b-b-bit” Niall hugged me “Get waaaaarm” I laughed quietly. “I’d take off my hoodie, but then I’d be shirtless” Zayn chuckled. “Here” Calum mumbled, holding his jumper out for me. “Calum, you’ll be cold” I protested, but he just threw the jumper into my lap. “Fine” I huffed and put it on. Niall zipped it up as if I was a little kid and laughed. “This is way too big for you” “I know, but it’s comfy” I said and put my hands in the large pockets.
It was really late when we said our goodbyes. Zayn hugged me and poked my cheek saying “Auf Wiedersehen” (something german I taught them (it means something like see you soon or bye)) I laughed at him “Bye Zayn” Harry hugged me and then smiled “Hope to see you soon” “Me too, bye Harry” I smiled. Liam high fived me, then nearly tackled me in a bear hug “see ya soon?” “I hope so” I laughed, “bye Liam” Louis hugged me too. “By the way, I don’t like your shirt. I’m Superman and I feel offended” “I’m going to wear a superman shirt next time, I promise” “Yesss” he fist pumped. Lastly, Niall walked over and hugged me close. “Take care, see you soon” he said quietly “you too” Then, before they all got in their car, Niall took me to the side again “I hope you noticed because if you didn’t, you’re probably blind but Calum has a fucking huge crush on you” with that, he hugged me again, said goodbye and god into the van. Zayn rolled down the window and screamed “VAS HAPPENING?!” into my direction. “VAS HAPPENING BOYS?!” I shouted back and saw Zayn laughing his ass off. “What was that about?” Luke asked. “Directioner stuff” I shrugged and turned around to see a frowning Calum behind me. Why would he have a crush on me? He doesn’t.
“In two weeks, we’ll be on tour with One Direction” Michael stated. “That’s huge” Ashton said. I nodded. “I am so proud of you” I smiled.
