*3 years later*

“Open mine first!” Calum says, handing me my Christmas present. We’re sat in a hotel room, and by we, I mean all of us. Some things have changed, you know?

Michael and Steph are engaged, I always saw that coming. They got together around New Year’s Eve after Christmas, he proposed to her in January and now she’s Michaels soon to be Mrs. Clifford.

Ashton is married. To a girl named Riley. She’s a really nice, funny girl, a short blonde with green eyes. Luke has a girlfriend, Robin, she’s 3 years younger than him. It was weird at first, but now, who the hell even cares anymore?

My hair is dip dyed now, red. Michael dared me into it, and somehow I never stopped re-dying it. I graduated from school and usually tour around with the guys now, visiting many, many countries.

I carefully unwrap the present and hold a small white box in my hand.

Calum’s P.O.V.

I breathe out shakily and take the box out of her hand. “I love you” I start, “and you know that. I can’t live my life without you anymore, and I love everything about you. I love you for what we have been through and I love you for what we will stand through together” I say, looking at her scarred arms. Yeah, scarred. My girl is 2 years clean.

“And I know that you know what I am going to ask, so, Amber Katherine Humms, will you marry me?” Her hands flow up to cover her mouth as her eyes widen, tears streaming down her face.

“Yes” she breathes “I will” She smiles at me, crying even more as she sees what’s engraved in the ring “I want you to mean it” and “I promise”. WAS THAT JASEY RAE?

“I claim best Christmas present!” I shout as the girls are piled up in a group hug. Michael high fives me and Ashton smiles at me, Luke gives me a man hug.

“Thank you for fixing me” she whispers as her arms wrap around my torso again. “I’ll always be here” I whisper,

*flashback*

I just pulled her closer to me and she snuggled her head against my chest. “I won’t leave” I whispered. “I promise”

*flashback ends*

“I promise”
