Chaper 40

I couldn't get my lips to move as I took him in, his nose was bleeding, his left eye was swollen shut and right was wasn't much better, and his lip was busted

"What happened to Bryce?"

"His parents are in town, and fuck I don't know why I'm here sorry for bothering you.."

"Monty wait," I said grabbing his arm

"It's fine come on in." I led to him to kitchen

"Here sit down I'm going to get the first aid kit." I walked into my parents bathroom and grabbed in and walked back to kitchen where he was holding his head back with a paper towel

"Is it still bleeding?"

"Not too much." He said and I sat across from him and began taking the stuff out.

"What happened Monty?"

"My dad's on a bender that's all."

"You can stay but my parents can't know. You can sleep on the floor in my room."

"It's better than nothing so thanks." He said holding his head up the bleeding had stopped, I started cleaning his cuts

"I'm used to parents not liking me."

"It's not that, I'm kinda walking a fine line with them lately."

"What happened?"

"My dad thinks you.... He thinks you raped me. "

"What the fuck Perri?!" He snapped standing up

"Calm down I told him it wasn't you he just doesn't believe me."

"Why the fuck would he think that?"

"It's my fault I told them what happened to me but I just can't tell them about Bryce."

"Why not?"

"Because I just can't now come sit down." I told him he looked at me then shook his head,

"I'm gonna go I shouldn't have come here."

"Where are you gonna go?"

"I'll sleep out side I've done it before."

"Don't be stupid, Monty it's ok you can stay." I told him he looked at me

"I ordered pizza, it's on it's way now." I bargained

"I'll stay for pizza." He said then sat back down

"Good,"

"Are you going to tell about Bryce?"

"Maybe, I just don't I think I can handle the backlash." I told him and he nodded

"Would it be alright if I used your shower?"

"Of course." I showed him the bathroom, and grabbed him some towels and a pair of my dad's pajamas

"Thank you Perri." He said giving me a small smile

"Your welcome, I'm glad you came." I told him he gave me a small smile which I returned then I walked back into the living room. While he was showering the pizza came I put it in the kitchen, then I grabbed him some blankets. I walked towards my room when he stepped out of th bathroom without a shirt.

"Jesus Monty." I said looking at the bruises forming around his ribs

"I'm fine."

"Do you need to go to the hospital this looks really bad."

"I'm used to it, I'm fine." He said I could tell he didn't want to talk about this anymore

"Ok. The pizza is in the kitchen, help yourself."I said and he nodded then walked past me, I looked at him there were also bruises on his back. My stomach turned seeing him like this and there was nothing I could do to help. I put the blankets in my room then walked into the kitchen to see him eating straight out the box

"Do you want a plate caveman?" I teased

"This is how real men eat pizza." He said and I chuckled

"Are you thirsty?"

"I'll take a beer." He said and I gave him a look

"I'm kidding."  He said sitting at the table

"Pop it is." Ii said pouring two glasses then I took a seat across from him at the table, as we ate I watching him out of the corner of my eye he was in a lot of pain I could tell.

"What?" He asked as he started on his fourth slice

"Monty I know you don't want to talk about this but I think you shook tell someone."

"Fuck that."

"Why not? This is very dangerous, he could kill you Monty."

"Look I've made it this far, I turn 18 in few months then I graduate. I got a lot of colleges looking at me for baseball I'll be out of here."

"All it takes is one wrong move Monty. He could hit you too hard one time or you could fall and hit your head."

"Stop being dramatic."

"I'm stating facts accidents happen all the time."

"Well I'll go tell on my dad if you tell about Bryce." He said making me glare at him

"My parents should be back soon, you need to get in my room."

"Perri-"
