Chapter 10

It was Friday the day of the pep rally, something was up with Jessica she wouldn't tell me what but she was two minutes off on all her moves, and was very distracted. Then she took off halfway through when Justin didn't show. The rest of the rally went fine but both coaches were pissed with Jessica and Justin.

I had just got home and I was about to change for a night in when my phone rang, it was Monty

"Hey." I said picking up

"Hey P, it's Monty."

"Yeah I know, there's this crazy thing called caller ID."

"Right sorry." He said making me chuckle

"So what's up?"

"I'm trying this again let's hang out at Rosie's tonight."

"As friends right?"

"Sure."

"Ok why don't you pick me up in about thirty minutes?"

"Cool, I'll see you in a bit.'He said and we hung up I couldn't help but smile a little. I got up and quickly showered and put on a white skater dress and a pair a wedges. I was fixing my hair when the doorbell rang. I grabbed my purse and phone and headed downstairs. As I went downstairs I could heard Tyler

"What are you doing here?" I heard him say

"Can you just tell Perri I'm here."

"No."

"Get lost Tyler!" I snapped pushing him away from the door

"Are you really going out with him?"

"That's none of your business." I snapped

"What's going on?" Mom asked coming out of the kitchen

"I'm going out for dinner is that ok?"

"Yeah curfew is at 12."

"Thanks mom."

"So who's this?"

"Mom you remember Monty?"

"Oh yeah it's been a long time how are you?" She asked shaking his hand

"I've been good, it's nice to see you Mrs. Down."

"Well I'm finishing up dinner you two have fun."She said and I nodded taking Monty's hand pulling him out of the house before Tyler started again.

Zack

"You need to relax man these tapes are tripping everyone out."

"You know Bryce asked me what was going on?"

"What did you tell him?"

"Nothing, I just told him I was avoiding meth Seth." He said and I shook my head

"Do you think we should come clean?"

"Fuck that!"

"Justin these tapes are fucking everything up, and the worst part is that their still circulating."

"Who has them now?"

"Clay should have them."

"Fuck are you sure?"

"Yes it was Perri, Sheri, and then Clay....and we already know Perri got them." I said looking down

"She's gonna get over it."

"Like Jess will?" I said and he shoved me

"You know what why don't you worry about your own girl." He said pointing across the street. I looked and I felt my heart drop. In the window of Rosie's Perri sat in a booth with Monty, who had his arm around her as they laughed while taking selfies. I pulled out my phone and hit her number and it started to ring

"Are you calling her? Dude don't do that." I ignored him as I watched as she looked at her phone, then it went to voicemail. So I started across the street

"Zach what are you doing?"

"I'm gonna kick his ass." I said storming into the diner and over to their table

"Zach what are-" I grabbed her arm and pulled her from the booth

"Man what the hell?" Monty asked getting up but I pushed him back down

"Zach stop!"

"This is my last warning stay the hell away from her."

"Perri  is single meaning she can do whatever she wants." He snapped pushing me away from him and and I pushed him back, he glared at me and moved forward but Justin jumped in between us

"Whoa guys chill, this not the place."

"All of you out of here before I call the police." The manager said, I rolled my eyes and grabbed Perri's hand and pulled her out of there.

"Let me go." She said snatching away from me

"What the hell is your problem?"

"My problem is that my girlfriend is on a date with another dude!"

"Monty and I are just friends! Not that it's any of your business because once again you're not my boyfriend anymore!"

"If you want to date other people fine, but whatever this is with Monty is not happening ."

"Your not my dad! And I told you I don't want to deal with you right now! So leave me alone!" She said then walked over to Monty

"Take me home please." She said and he nodded and they walked away together leaving me standing there feeling like an idiot.
