"We'll be an official couple if you can explain what happened between you and Kagami," Marinette said with a serious tone.
"Oh..."
"You can start explaining now, Kitty," Marinette sternly said. She can already act cool around Adrien knowing that he's the same guy who's been shamelessly flirting with her ever since.
"What do you mean? N-nothing happened between Kagami and I," Adrien nervously uttered.
"Uhuh?" Marinette sarcastically said. "Can you explain why you asked me for advice about Kagami? Can you explain why she kissed you on the cheek after we hung out at the ice rink? Can you explain why you chose to bring her home instead, and ditch me? Can you explain the rose you gave her?"
By the time that Marinette was finished talking, Adrien's mouth was quite agaped. He couldn't believe that Marinette still remembers all those things.
"It's nothing, Mi'lady," he nervously laughed. "I just tried if it'll work out, but it didn't," he added.
"But you still tried," Marinette said, frustration evident in her voice.
"I'm sorry, Mi'lady," Adrien sighed before pulling Marinette into a hug. "I was just frustrated when you rejected me again... Wait, I just remembered something," Adrien said, his voice laced with recognition.
"What is it?" Marinette asked him.
"Didn't you tell me that the reason why you can't give me a chance is because you like another boy?" Adrien asked.
Marinette just chuckled. "You still haven't realize it yet? Are you dense or you just simply mistake love and admiration for friendship?"
"What?" Adrien cluelessly asked making Marinette sighed.
"It's you," she simply said. She isn't shy anymore. She finally knows that Adrien is as in love as her so there's no need to be shy.
Marinette turned to look at Adrien who looked really shock. It seriously shocks Marinette that Adrien never thought that she likes him. Almost everyone in the class—maybe even in Paris—knows it, so why didn't Adrien noticed?
"Is it really me?" he asked for assurance. Marinette only nodded. "Just look around and you'll notice," she even said.
Obeying what Marinette said, Adrien looked around. He saw pictures of him in Marinette's wall. Even her desktop has his picture as the wallpaper.
"You really like me..." Adrien silently uttered, starting to walk around Marinette's room.
After looking at every pictures in the wall, Adrien stopped in front of a box. Intently eyeing it.
"What's inside this?" Adrien asked. He tried opening it but it wouldn't open.
"Nothing," Marinette nervously said. "Just some old stuffs I own," she added. She couldn't tell him what's really inside it. It's her gifts for Adrien's next 35 birthdays—he would totally think she's a psycho!
"Okay," Adrien just shrugged before sitting in Marinette's bed again.
"What now?" Marinette asked. She couldn't think of something to talk about. She would rather cuddle with Adrien than to talk.
"Can I ask about Luka?" Adrien asked. "Sure," Marinette casually answered. Luka is just a friend to her so there's no need for her to be nervous.
"Did you like him?"
"No," Marinette replied. "He's just a good friend," she added.
"Yeah, sure," Adrien dryly replied. He remembered he used to tell that Marinette is just a friend but now...
"Seriously, Kitty?" Marinette laughed, leaning against Adrien's shoulder. "He's just a friend. Don't be silly. You're the one that I like," she assured.
"But he likes you, right?" Adrien asked, still worried. As much as possible, he doesn't want someone else to like his Mi'lady.
"So? There are 3 other girls who like you," Marinette said, scoffing.
Adrien just sighed. He doesn't care about those girls. Maybe to Chloé, he does, but it's just because he's friend with her since he was too little.
Marinette and Adrien just sat there. Adrien was silently playing with Marinette's hair—the thing he's been wanting to do ever since he starts liking Ladybug.
"Stop playing with my hair," Marinette groaned, but Adrien didn't stop.
A few minutes later, Sabine went up, holding a plate of freshly made croissant. She really isn't lying when he told Adrien that she'll bring them those.
Adrien's eyes sparkled. He loves croissant so much.
"Thanks, Mom," Marinette said, taking the plate from her mothers hand and placing it in her bed. Sabine left her room after that.
They both started eating while talking about random things.
To Marinette and Adrien, it still felt surreal that they like each other, but they are really happy because they do.
