Chapter 1

It is almost a normal school day - at least for most of the students Collège Françoise Dupont. Everyone is on their way to their classrooms, hurrying because classes are about to start.

Meanwhile, Marinette's rushing her way to the school's entrance. She's running late. She was too exhausted from last night's mission, that's why she wasn't able to wake up early.

When she finally reached their classroom, she immediately sat beside Alya while panting hard.

"What did you do this time, girl? You're almost late," Alya pointed out while checking her Ladyblog.

Marinette sheepishly grinned. "I...I poured a box of milk all over my clothes so I had to take a bath again!" she, once again, made an efortless epic excuse.

Alya looked like she's not buying her excuse. Who would? Her excuse was just too lame. Even a 4-year-old kid won't believe that.

"Okay."

Alya decided to shrug it off. Maybe she's telling the truth, or she's just not ready to tell her secret yet, she thought to herself.

"Anyway, I have filmed another video of Ladybu-" Alya stopped talking when she noticed Marinette roaming her eyes around the classroom again. She sighed, "The love of your life isn't here yet."

Marinette gave Alya a cute smile. "Can you please ask Nino where he is?"

Alya just agreed. It is totally fine with her. She loves talking to Nino. He's her boyfriend, after all.

"Hey, Nino," she casually called Nino who's in front of them.

Nino turned his head and looked at her. "What's up, Alya?"

"I was wondering why Adrien's late today," she casually said.

"Ah. He overslept."

Alya turned to look at Marinette. "You heard that?"

"Yea-Hi Adrien!" Marinette blurted out once she saw Adrien entered the room. It was too late for her to stop herself from calling him.

"Oh, hi Marinette," Adrien greeted back while looking effortlessly hot as he sits on his chair.

Marinette didn't say anything again. She's too afraid to mess up in front of him again-it is where she's good at.

A few minutes later, Miss Bustier still isn't in their room, making most of the class wonder. Miss Bustier was never late. Marinette started to worry that the poor teacher got akumatized again.

Marinette was about to go outside to check when Chloé flawlessly made her way in front while holding her phone.

"Everyone!" she yelled to get everyone's attention. Everyone instantly faced her, wondering what evilness will she do today. "Miss Bustier won't attend the class. We should definitely have a party here instead," she announced. "Well, except you, Dupain-Cheng. You're too clumsy to dance!" She started laughing. The kind of laugh that irritates everyone.

Marinette groaned, trying to stop herself from yelling at Chloé. She has mastered the art of not talking back to her already.

Adrien, who noticed Marinette's annoyance, stood up and joined Chloé in front. Chloé immediately attempted to throw herself into Adrien, but he was able to stop her.

"Actually, Nino has a plan," he announced. He gave Marinette a smile who gave him a thumbs up as a support.

Adrien went back to his seat. Chloé immeditely followed while Nino made his way in front.

"Uh, yes," he said. "There's a competition again. We just need to make a movie of our section. And, uh, I thought a love story of Cat Noir and Ladybug will be good," he explained.

Marinette's face turned red. She has been having these weird feelings toward Cat Noir, and Nino's idea isn't helping.

On the other side, Adrien was grinning widely. He's been fantasizing about him and Ladybug falling in love with each other, and he likes Nino's idea.

Chloé stood up from her seat, raising her hand. "I should play Ladybug!" she confidently demanded. She's, no doubt, a spoiled brat.

"Actually," Nino scratched the back of his neck. "I think Adrien and Marinette should play as Cat Noir and Ladybug considering that they're the one who was chosen to supposedly play as them for Clara Nightingale's music video," he suggested.

"It's fine with me," Adrien immediately agreed. "Marinette's actually a good partner."

"It's fine with me, too!" Marinette almost yelled. She awkardly leans on her seat after realizing what she did. She's risking her identity again, just for Adrien!

"Okay. It's settled then."

"Oh my. Marinette, what have you done?" Tikki whispered to her, making her worries even more.
