Marinette just got home. She went straight to her room after kissing both her parents on the cheeks, and telling them she's really exhausted.

After changing into her pajamas, she sat in front of her computer.

"Ugh. I'm glad we're done with our project," Marinette exclaimed as she browse the Ladyblog, while Tikki sat on her shoulder.

"Yeah. I think you need to rest," Tikki commented, noticing how exhausted Marinette looks.

"I know. But I kinda felt guilty for being mad at Adrien," she admitted. She felt bad because she didn't even asked him, and she just jumped into conclusions.

She flinched when she felt an arm around her. It's definitely Cat Noir, she thought.

"What are you doing here?" she asked as soon as Cat Noir transformed back.

"To talk," he said, being straight to the point.

Marinette remained silent. She quietly just made her way to her bed and just sat there, looking directly at Adrien with serious eyes.

"I'm sorry about Kagami."

"It's fine," Marinette said, not meeting his gaze. Of course, it isn't fine for her.

"We're just working on our project," Adrien added, trying to explain.

Marinette crossed her arms. "Really? That's why you let 'your lady' fight alone?" she mocked.

"I'm sorry," Adrien said again. "Just let me make it up to you."

"You were having fun talking to Kagami yesterday, that's why you weren't able to help me, right?" She completely ignored what Adrien said.

"I'm sorry, Mi'lady. It won't happen again," Adrien said, finally pulling Marinette in a tight hug. She wasn't jealous anymore. All she wants is for them to reconcilate.

"I was just jealous...and insecure," Marinette admitted. "You have so much in common and I'm scared you'll start liking her for it," she explaines further.

Adrien carefully placed a kiss on his forehead, hugging her tighter.

"Please don't, Mi'lady. I am badly smitten by you. I think of you almost 24/7. And if there's one thing I want, it is a future with you."

Marinette tears fell. It was because of the frustration she's been keeping all to herself for the past 2 days.

"Don't cry please," Adrien pleaded, carresing her hair.

"I just feel bad about being mad at you because of my insecurities," she said, hugging Adrien back. "It's so selfish of me..."

"It's nothing," Adrien said.

He cupped her face and looked directly in her eyes. "We're okay now, okay? I brought my laptop with my mom's movie in it. I want to watch it with you this time," he said.

Marinette wiped her tears and looked at him in surprise. It was the movie they were supposed to watch before.

"Okay," she softly said, letting Adrien go so he can get his laptop that she put beside Marinette's desktop.

Adrien scooted next to Marinette, preparing his laptop so they can finally watch the movie.

The movie finally started. Marinette can feel Adrien tensed by seeing it. He still misses his mom.

"We can just watch another movie again if you can't watch it," Marinette suggested with a hint of worry in his voice.

"No, it's okay," Adrien said, insisting that they should watch it.

Marinette just shifted her position, leaning her head on Adrien's shoulder just to make him feel better.

"I'm sorry about Kagami. I'll do my best to avoid her," Adrien blurted out while they're busy watching.

Marinette frowned. "Let's just enjoy the movie," she said before standing up.

"Are you mad? Where are you going?"

"I'm just going to get us croissants. I know you're secretly in love with them," she said, starting to go down. Adrien's eye sparkled again. He could really eat croissants for the rest of his life. He's lucky because he's dating the city's best baker's daughter.

Marinette returned carrying a plate of fresh croissants. She laid beside Adrien handing the plate to him.

"Thank you, Mi'lady," he said before starting to eat the croissants with delight while they continue watching his mom's movie.

"Your mom's a good actor," Marinette complimented.

"Thanks," Adrien said. "She'll definitely like you if she's alive," he sighed.

Marinette kissed Adrien's cheek. "Don't be sad, Kitty. I know she's happy to have a hero as her son," she said, giving him a wide smile.

"Thank you, Mi'lady."
