"You are Cat Noir?" his father asked once again. He doesn't want to believe.

"Yes, father," Adrien said, furrowing his brows.

Hawk Moth harshly removed his miraculous, throwing it somewhere, as soon as he heard the confirmation from his son.

"Adrien..." Gabriel uttered looking at him with guilty eyes. "I am sorry."

"You should be," Cat Noir laughed bitterly. "How many times did you hurt your own son because of your selfishness?" he asked.

Gabriel replied, "I was not aware about your real identity."

"It wasn't just about how you put my life in danger as Cat Noir," he said. "Have you ever thought how pressured I am about all the things you want me to learn? Have you ever thought that I can't just spend my whole life alone in this big house? Have you ever realize that I can choose what I want on my own?"

"I'm sorry, son," Gabriel said.

"Yes, we lost Mother. But it doesn't mean that I have to lose you too," Cat  Noir said.

"I am sorry for the trouble I caused you and Ladybug."

"Tell that to her." Cat  Noir gritted remembering how his father humiliated Marinette in front of their classmates.

"I will. Can you please tell her to meet us in your room?"

Cat Noir just nodded his head, taking his baton from his back and calling Ladybug. His lady immediately answered the call.

"K-kitty?" The trembling of her voice was evident.

"Can you please go in my room? We have to talk about something," Cat Noir said, his tone serious.

"O-okay..."

Cat Noir and Gabriel silently waited for Ladybug. They didn't talk nor look at each other.

A few moments later, Ladybug appeared. She looked fine, aside from the fact that her face is full with dried tears.

"W-why—"

"I am sorry, Ladybug. I know I caused you and Cat Noir a lot of trouble because of my selfishness. I am sorry," Gabriel said, cutting Ladybug's words.

"You are...Hawk Moth."

"Yes, he is," Adrien bitterly answered.

"I am sorry. Please forgive me," Gabriel said again.

"Why did you do that?" Ladybug asked, trying to calm down.

"I know that by having yours and Cat Noir's miraculous, I will be able to wish anything. I thought it can be the chance to have my wife's life back," Gabriel explained.

Marinette's eyes softened. So that's what the reason... She finally understands why he's doing that.

"I-it's okay now," Ladybug finally said after being silent for a moment.

"Thank you, Ladybug. Thank you for forgiving me."

"That isn't the only thing you should be apologizing about, father," Cat Noir said before yelling, "Plagg, claws out."

"What else?" Gabriel confusedly asked.

"Transform back, Mi'lady," Adrien instructed.

Ladybug nodded.

"Tikki, spots off."

"Marinette?" Gabriel, once again, was shocked.

"Yes, Mr. Agreste," Marinette said, remembering what happened earlier.

"I am sorry about earlier. I already realized things. I wouldn't get in the way between you and Adrien."

"It's fine, Sir. Just don't be so hard on Adrien." Marinette smiled.

Meanwhile...

"Hawk Moth's miraculous? Interesting..." someone said.
