CHAPTER 5

'IT'S ELIZABETH'

“So, let me get this straight…” I was currently sitting with Amy in one of the little huts inside the campus where all of the other students hang out. Out of the corner of my eyes, I could see a lot of students with their little camera phones out and taking a picture of my conversation with Amy, “You met Harry Styles at Number Zone?”

I rolled my eyes, “Yes” I tried explaining this to her for the past thousand years. Note the sarcasm.

She looked at me in disbelief, her black hair glistening from the rays of the sun. “What the hell is wrong with you?”

I raised my hands up in surrender, “Whoa! Why are you so raged?”

She waved her hands in front of me and glared, “Uh-hello! They’re like One Direction. A hot Irish-British boy band”

I groaned, “A, how many times do I have to remind you that I am the future owner of Adams Regency?”

She giggled—ugh! I hate that word. “As many times as I want”

“Sometimes, karma will get to your brain” I said, playing with the necklace around my neck.

She shrugged, “I don’t care as long as I screw one of the members”

“Gross! You’re starting to sound like Seth” I scolded her, Damn! If she wasn’t my best friend, I would gladly pretend I don’t know her.

She rolled her eyes at me and just checked her phone. Ever since I have been in Number Zone, I couldn’t quite get over the way Harry Styles flirted with me. He was obviously breaking the rules since we weren’t supposed to tell our names until midnight. Okay! That might have been some of my fault, I did tell him to name himself. Trust me, if some green-eyed, curly haired, British dude came up to you, wouldn’t you jump at the opportunity at getting his name? I know I would. But the way he flirted with me kind of ticked me off a little. Can’t he get a clue that I was obviously not interested? Sure, he was smooth as water or something, but, I am not interested in anything like that. Every since Luke Bosworth broke my heart, I kind of started having the unusual urge to bang the next guy that hits on me. Literally. What can I say? I am kind of badass.

“Oh My God!” I heard someone shriek and I turned around to see three familiar faces walk around the campus. I never got to see them together—ever. Even though Mandy was always dragging me in her awarding ceremonies, I never had the chance of bumping into them. Now, I realized what a missed opportunity that was.

“Aren’t you going to talk to them?” Amy asked me.

I shrugged. If they wanted to talk to me, they could just walk up to me and say ‘hi’.

“Ms. Adams” My head snapped up from Temple Run and focused on the professor in front of me. I took one last glance in my phone. Damn! My character just died.

“Yes?” I could see every head turned in my direction and hear Amy snicker in my left side. Thank Goodness we have the same schedule! What can I say? College has its perks.
