Where does my mind go?

My blood reeks of vodka
As it flows from the heart
And pulls my body apart
While I lay on my bed
Feeling you tug aimlessly in my head

Everything is motionless
But I feel it all spin
As I plummet into the desire to confess
The way I crave to touch your skin

And my mind is a rubber band stretched to its limits
From one end to the other, opposites push and pull
To and fro
hazy answers float tentatively in my mind
intertwined
But the heart's desire is clear and full

I brush my lips against the Forbidden Fruit
I ache heavier by the minute
I scrape my teeth against its skin
The sweet aroma leaks from its pores
The tender surface
Succulent against my fingertips
Taunts me right in my naked face
unmasked and unveiled by the gin
Am I still what I've always been?
I bite.

I now fall down the Rabbit Hole
The wind scrapes my burning face
And penetrates my charcoal veins
Bulging from the top of my head
Eternity is followed, by
the immediate crackle of my bones
pounding against the frigid stones

Cracked and crumbled, my hand stretches towards you
The warm wind of your voice
Moaning against my ear
Makes the reason crystal clear
I know you want it too

My charcoal veins flood with lava
As I succumb to the darkness
And slowly begin to melt
Simultaneously Reason screams
While I squirm and writhe like a worm from its grasp
Rendering It mute

Amidst a myriad of hues
The stems climb towards the sun
As the leaves and petals dance and run
Spring sings the tunes of the heart
blossoming into a moment eternity will wish to restart

Where does my mind go?
Hell, down below
Perishing in the hollow abyss
Because it is forbidden: the way our souls kiss
We break the chaining rule that renders our world cruel
My mind wildly flutters towards your heart
And I know the Angel's melancholic melodies sing
We shall not be apart.

A/N: This poem is about two people who should not be together, but cannot manage to stay apart from each other despite the toxic nature of the relationship.
