Pretty Petite Sunflower,
I warm you into life,
I caress you with my light,
Face me, I'm right here.Pretty Petite Sunflower,
Anyone who looks at you,
Glued glistening eyes,
Look away will not.Look at me, I plead,
Facing away won't do you any good,
I call you,
"Pretty flower!"
Yet all look at me but you.Withering Flower,
Do not do this to yourself.
You radiate with power.
I gave it to you myself.Pretty Petite Sunflower,
That is who you are,
Yet thou name you refuse to acknowledge,
Deaf ears to my pleading screams. And not even I could save you,
From what engraved in you was true,
And did you make a sound,
When your life was finally through?Petite Pretty Sunflower,
You begged for the moon,
No longer would you cower,
Always a sucker for a lovely afternoon.oh! forlorn melody,
But the day was so near!
And the charcoal flowing between your veins clouded your judgement,
For the Sun was right here.
