"Rick, I'm pregnant."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What?" he was distraught, confused almost.
"We're having a baby." I was trying to sound happy, but nervous at the same time, especially since I didn't know his reaction quite yet.
"Wow." was all he could manage to mutter out in his shocked state.
"Aren't you happy?" I asked, genuinely nervous that he wasn't.
"Of course! This is amazing! I just didn't think I would ever have another child."
"I'm glad." I said, smiling.
"We're having a baby!" he said, laughing. It was finally sinking in with him. We were going to be parents! I mean, he already was, but still.
"How far along are you?" he asked, making me think for a moment.
"Uhm, a few weeks. Three, I think. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, it's just that..."
"It's okay." he cut me off.
"Well... we need to schedule a doctors appointment!"
"That's a great idea! Why don't we do that right after we eat. You must be starving. You are eating for two now..." I smiled at his comment, and then helped him up so we could get to the kitchen (he was shot in the leg, remember?).
After we finished eating, we promptly went to the office to call the doctor.
"Hello. This is Doctor Jacob's office, how may I help you?"
"Hi, this is Richard Castle. I need to make an appointment for my wife."
After a few minutes of talking, Castle pit down the phone to tell me when.
"Will Saturday work?"
"Yeah, that's perfect!"
"Good. Ah, what now?"
"Uhm, I know! Let's think of names." I knew it was early, but I already knew what I wanted.
"Uh, okay!" Castle was pleased with the activity I chose. "How about you come up with a girl's name, and I'll do a boy?"
"Okay. You first."
"Mmm... How about Cosmo? You know, like Cosmo we took care of?"
"I remember little Cosmo... I love it!"
"Good. I do, too." He said, smiling.
"Okay, my turn. I hope you like it..." I was pretty sure that he would like it, I was just nervous, again. Probably all due to my weird pregnant hormones.
"I'm sure that it is beautiful." he stated, comforting me again.
"Okay, then. Johanna. Johanna Martha Castle."
