Love like snow | Kuroko X Reader
“I love you because no two snowflakes are alike, and it is possible, if you stand tippy-toe, to walk between the raindrops. ”

"If I had love all over agin, i wouldn't want to meet you. Ever." you smiled, tossing the bouquet of flowers right into the trash bin that was a distance away, your three-pointer skills coming in handy. He blinks at you, evidently shocked with his hand on his cheek where you had slapped him as he watches you strut pass him and drop the credit card he gave you a few months ago onto the floor.

As you sit in Maji Burger with your eyes all swollen and puffy from all the crying that you'd done with in the past three hours, you barely even react when a couple of basketball teenagers walk into the shop. Your phone was busily ringing with hundreds of calls and messages trying to explain what had happened between the both of them, but your mind was too messed up to even think about anything.
Honestly, you couldn't see what had went wrong in the relationship at all. You had been patient and caring, always giving him his own personal space while he respected yours. You had been preparing bentos for him everytime for lunch, and every single time he had eaten it with relish.
And yet you couldn't remember when was it that he stopped being that sweet to you, until you had seen her.
" Ah, sorry, can we sit here?" a voice rings up and your head shoots up. Greeting you is a tall red-head whose around 190 cm staring right down at you and a whole bunch of other guys who are around the same height as him. They had this basketball outfit going on there and their bags hanging from their shoulders.
Just like him at the same time.
Just almost immediately, you feel the waterfalls coming on like some switch in you just flipped on by itself after you had taken such a long time to try and press it back down.
" What the- " you hear the red-head's shocked voice before many more voices flood it.
"What the hell Kagami!"
" Just because we don't have a space doesn't mean you make the lady cry you idiot!"
" Oh god, what did you just do?"
" Why must you always make women cry?"
Even though hearing all these things make you want to laugh, but you can't because you can see their figures overlapping each other.
His basketball team. This basketball team.
" (Name)-chan?" you make out your childhood friend's voice and immediately turn, hugging him tightly as you sob pathetically in his embrace. Kuroko merely pats your back and then signals for the rest of the basketball team to sit down and go order their food first.
Somehow, you saw Kuroko to be some kind of a safety boat that you held onto no matter what happened. It was like fate. Every single time you would break down in that crystallised world to face reality, you would see him there, helping you mend and piece the broken pieces back together one by one and sealing you back to protect you from anything.
Ashamed, you sheepishly take the tissue that he offered to you and wipe away your tears. Your red and blood shot eyes come into sight, and you don't notice it, but Kuroko's eyes dim.
" I broke up with him. You know, Kōji Kobori. Kise wouldn't be glad to hear this for sure." you mumble, sipping away at the vanilla milk shake that Kuroko had slyly passed to you. Kise was pretty supportive of your relationship and really protective over you and you didn't want him to get all riled up and offend his seniors just because of you.
" It'll be fine." Kuroko mutters and then pats your back again.
Staring out of the windows of Maji Burger, the both of you two watch in silence at the falling snow that would soon melt to bud new life, a new passion.
"I'll be with you forever." you hear Kuroko whisper, and you feel your lips turning up to form a slight smile.

YESH. REQUESTS DONE.
It wasn't so much of love, but more on like protecting.
Protecting love?
is that even a kind of love?
Okay never mind.
I'm being weird again
