Sean Reagan, Danny Reagan's youngest son, groaned as his alarm to his phone went off. He turned it off and got out of bed. As per his usual routine, he checked all social media, text messages, and any other notification. He smiled a little when he saw his text from his dad: Gotta go to work. Have a good day.
Sean wrote back, Kick some @ss, Dad!!
The fifteen year old got dressed and went downstairs to find breakfast. He opened the fridge and wrinkled his nose, his father was a terrible cook and all they had were leftovers that were quickly rotting. Sean grabbed two pieces of bread and popped them in the toaster. He found the peanut butter and spread it on the warm toast. He ate his breakfast while on his phone, immediately answering the call from his big brother. "Hey, Jack."
"Hey, Sean. Is Dad home?" Jack Reagan has slept over at a friend's house, both of them planning to go college and apartment hunting together.
"Nah. He got called in. Why?"
"How is he?" Naturally, both boys were concerned about their Dad.
"Same as always. Mad, broody, sad..."
"Oh. Do you know if he'll be home tonight?"
"Judging by the last four months, I don't think so. You coming back?"
"Of course. I've still got the rest of the school year to be stuck with you two."
Sean smiled, "I gotta go or I'm gonna be late. Bye."
"Bye." Jack tapped his phone on his fingers, wondering if he should text his Dad.

Danny picked up his phone at a stop light and sort of smiled at the text he got from his oldest son.
Sean told me you got called in. Go kick some serious @ss.
Danny smirked and sent him a thumbs up emoji. He continued to drive, not knowing where he was going. He'd drive all the way to Florida, if he could. He just needed to get away from New York.

Erin Reagan sighed as she looked over cases with her investigator, Anthony Abbetemarco. She wrinkled her brow, "so we've got nothing on where the witness could have gone?"
"Nothin'. We don't even have any kin to call or friend."
The brunette sighed, "how the hell are we going to get her then?"
"I don't know.... maybe she'll come back."
"Or maybe the defendant got to her..."
*******
Officer Jamie Reagan sighed as his partner asked him another silly question.
"Okay." Edit "Eddie" Janko shifted in her seat, so she could face her friend. "Eat at Starbucks for the rest of your life, or never eat there again."
"Never eat there again."
"What?"
"Their food's not that great."
"But it's..."
"It's what? Too expensive?"
Before Eddie could argue, the radio came to life, prompting them to pay attention.

Danny didn't realize how far he had driven until he saw the New Jersey state line. He pulled into a small gas station, debating whether to drive to Jersey or back to New York. He looked over the state lines, Something was calling him to New Jersey, something was twisting in his gut, telling him he'd find something there. Danny tapped the wheel, he was only an hour and a half away from Manhattan. What could possibly take so long? It was only seven thirty am, he could easily make it back before lunchtime. He pulled out of the parking lot and made his way to Jersey.
