That night, neither Linda nor Danny slept. Linda was plagued with nightmares, and when she had nightmares, Danny didn't sleep. It was almost like a sixth sense between the two of them, if one didn't sleep or feel good or what have you, the other one immediately knew.
"I'm sorry," Linda kept apologizing, "I'm sorry. I'll leave and I'll never come back." She got up to back her bags, but Danny held her wrist. When fear flashed in her blue eyes, he let go.
"Linda, sit." She did as told, "twenty two years ago, I put that ring on your finger, and I vowed to protect you. To love and cherish you for the rest of my life. We've had our ups and downs, but for twenty two years, I've protected, loved, cherished, honored, obeyed, cared for you in sickness or in health. And I'm not about to break that promise because you think you're ugly, rotten, not good enough. I love you, Linda Reagan. And I'm never gonna stop."
"But-"
"No buts!" Danny interrupted, his voice firm, but soft and loving. "What's it gonna take, Linda? When are you gonna be convinced I still love you? Do you want a vow renewal or something?"
Linda nodded, she needed Danny to proclaim his love for her in front of his family, his friends, her family, and her friends.
Danny was surprised to hear that. He never intended on asking about a vow renewal, it was just an idea that had been mulling in his mind. "Okay. I'll arrange it. It's November, right?"
Linda nodded, her tears still flowing.
"Then next month, December 21st, we'll have a vow renewal. We'll invite the family and our friends. Okay?"
The brunette nodded, she had a little less than one month to feel and look presentable.

"What? Get out!" Erin exclaimed, equally as surprised as everyone. Her baby brother, Jamie, just announced his engagement to Officer Edit "Eddie" Janko.
Eddie and Jamie sat down, the family congratulating them. The engaged couple recited their vows, and received more congratulations. Everyone was happy, until Linda started crying.
"Are you okay?" Eddie wondered. She had been told by Jamie Linda wasn't really kidnapped, but she didn't know how emotion Linda was.
"It's just.... you two.... you're so... cute!"
Eddie looked confused, "thank you?"
"And-And In love... and-and-and-" Linda covered her face with her hand, not really knowing why her body decided to cry right then.
"Uh... do you want some water?" The blonde cop was still very confused.
"I just... I need air." She excused herself and walked out the door.
"What just happened?"
"When they were handing out hormones, Linda got doubles." Danny explained, getting up to follow his wife.
"But... she's okay?"
"Not really. But she's going to be."
Eddie watched Danny walk to the door, "What?"
"Eddie, Linda's a very hormonal person. And she was... well, I told you her situation," Jamie started, "it's like her body hit caps-lock on her emotions. But with Danny by her side, she can conquer anything."
"As long as she's okay."
"She'll be fine," Erin turned to her future sister-in-law, "we promise."A/n so I'm probably wrong with the time of the engagement, but it fits my story
