●Chapter 11b: The Crimson Hunter V.S The Cavalryman.

U/N: Nothing you say will ever make me forgive you!

Your words echoed across the canyon below you as well as the surrounding area, followed by a sinister silence. Kore was standing defense ready with his katana in one hand, whilst you remained crouched on the ground, leaning back slightly as to be ready to strike. The soldiers and Asuna stood dead still as they watched the standoff, this new act of violence now unsettling most of the players, now wanting to just back off after witnessing you attacking with the intent to kill. Though only few however, still held their courage and their ground. Those soldiers still held weapons in their hands, and anxiously waiting for a moment to strike. But Kore stopped them from doing that. The tension in the air thick enough to cut.

Kore:*to the soldiers* Don't. *turns to you* (U/N), just calm down. I know you don't really like me at the moment for whatever reason but-

You interupt him once again as you dash forward and thrust your spear to attack. He is prepared however and and swings his katana to deflect the attack. It lands and he swings breaking off the attack with sparks flying, you use this moment to spin and swing to strike again, but he reacts meeting the attack again and clashes with another block. The two of you stay at a stand still whilst your weapons clash against one another, the two of you trying your best to gain more ground by trying to push each other off balance, but it was equal force for both so you were dead still trying to gain an advantage.

U/N: *growls*

Kore: kch!!! What's wrong with you dude?! I don't want to fight you!!!

U/N:*through gritted teeth* But I do!

You break of and keep attacking him, he keeps blocking each time you strike, you decided to play a feint. You thrust forward, and he prepared to block, but you sidestepped to the left exposing his open side, and sent a fist into his gut. He grunts in pain as he staggers back. You take this moment to swing you spear down, but once again...he manages to bring his katana up to block it just in time, you both remained still again. In a clash just like before. But this time he held the advantage due to your striking position, so he managed to push back and gain more leverage.

Kore: rgh!!!C'mon (U/N) you don't really want this! I'm your freind dammit!

He began to push harder, you were losing this short standoff. You yell out in anger and defiance.

U/N: That's the thing Kore, You're not my freind!!! And I DO want this, if it means I can get away from a traitor like YOU!!!

Kore: .........(calm but also stern) What?

You push away to be able to dash back to create distance between you, and stand still to silently observe your opponents next move, but his head hung low with his arms at is sides, he was open...why?. The soldiers took this chance to advance forward closing the space you have to fight.

HDA soldier: Cavalryman, allow us to assist you.

2nd HDA soldier: We outnumber him 20 to 1. We can end all of this now! Just let-

Kore: *turns to the soldiers* I SAID NO!!!

They flinch back in surprise hearing him shout, even surprising you and Asuna for a second. Kore never shouted, ever, it sound harsh and it was loud, scary even. He turned back to face you, his face one of seriousness, it didn't fit him at all and that itself shocked you.

U/N: What the hell? Why is he angry?....and with that look on his face, he seems...numb, dead even.*remembers what's going on* Agh! I can't think about that, focus on the fight!

You then regain your focus as you stare at Kore, and he stares back. His form isn't one of defense but now one of offence. He sets his katana to it's set position for striking, the blade now glowing a bright blue, you do the same crouching down in the position you had to strike before, the blade of your spear glowing a dark (F/C). You both stand completely still watching to see who would make the first move, the air not blowing a wind and not a single sound could be heard, not even your own breath. Surprisingly he attacked first, dashing forward to deliver a downward cut, you raised your spear to deflect the attack, he acted quickly and struck again with it being more vicious than the last. You deflected again, this time you took the initiative and striked.
