S U R I - S I M O N E

For the next few weeks, Axel has been making it very clear that he has every intention to pull at my strings. It seems like his woman friend made an appearance every night, and each time her annoying screams were heard. No one else in the small roundabout seemed to be bothered by it, but I swear it irritated the living daylights out of me.

I couldn't continue to dwell on that though, I had far more important things to worry about, like the exam I had in the morning for the strenuous biology class.

I tried to ignore just about any and everyone that contacted me, even my own sister.

"Suri, you haven't left this room in three days, it's starting to smell like something overcooked, rotted, and became infectious in here." Taryn peeped as she entered my mess of a room.

I sigh, not once looking away from the bright computer screen sprawled with open webpages and powerpoints. "I know, that's the smell of my brain working."

"Well, I don't know how much more of this I can take, go take a shower." She huffs and fanned the air surrounding us.

"You know you don't have to be in here, this is my room."

She nods and heads for the door. "You are correct, but your little guy friend more than likely isn't gonna want to smell this since he's waiting downstairs."

I gasped as I jumped up and rushed over to her. "He's here?! Right now?!" I panic.

"Yeah. He said he's been trying to call you, but you weren't picking up, I told him you were in the shower." She says and starts to walk away.

Trevante had also been on my ignore list and to make matters worse, we haven't really spoken much in about a week, mostly because he hasn't been showing up to class and dry texting.

I had no choice now but to go shower, so I grabbed a pair of track pants, an oversized tee, and undergarments. I stood underneath the shower head for over twenty minutes, soaking up the most relaxing moment I've had in a while. I got out and dried off, dressing quickly and heading downstairs to hear Trevante's voice, and I didn't hear Taryn talking, so he had to have been on the phone.

"No, I'm not at home right now...I'll try and come by and see you on my way in though...just don't close up soon...aight...bye."

Just as he hang up, I had came from around the corner and caught his gaze. He looked drained himself, dark circles surrounding his eyes and his skin didn't glow the same as before.

"Hey." I spoke and gave him a weak smile, wrapping my arms around his waist and inhaled the intoxicating aroma of Chanel bleu. He let his arms fall around my lower back and rubbed my waist.

"–Hey." He responded lowly in the crook of my neck, and held onto me for as long as I wanted to continue to hold him. After a minute of savoring the affection, I pulled away and brushed some of my hair back.

"I'm sorry I've been distant, I just became overwhelmed with work and with the biology exam being tomorrow, I kinda went into cramming over drive."

"You're good, love. I've been kinda busy myself lately, hence the sleep deprivation." He points to his eyes and I couldn't help but feel sorry for him and understood whole heartedly what he was going through.
