S U R I - S I M O N E
As Axel promised, later this evening, we found ourselves held up in a small, run down apartment-styled building; only it was a vacant lot used by the search bloc repurposed for surveillance of the Cartel apparently.
His friend, Andrés, happily greeted us as Axel knocked on the side door entrance.
"You motherfucker. Como está, amigo?" Andrés spoke eagerly, embracing Axel in an aggressive, yet friendly hug.
"Never better, man. How about you? I see they've put you in a higher position than the last time I was here. Commander?"
Andrés nods and smiles. "Ja, it comes with a lot more work, but I enjoy getting more of these fuckers off the streets. Your guy just made contact with one of my C.I.'s today about a big meeting in the city. There will be girls, drugs, and mostly all the members of the Madrid Cartel will be in attendance. We've got eyes and ears on him now."
He points to the window where one of the members of the search bloc was taking pictures and another adjusted the headphones over his ears.
"Great, I want to be here for every update. I need to finish this to finally get back to my life. It's gotten too far...and roped too many other people in."
Andrés points to me. "Perdón, how rude of me, Axel didn't tell me he would be bringing along a friend. I'm Commander Andrés Barelas, and you are?"
I smiled. It's funny how all the guys here have thee most sexiest accents. "It's okay, I'm Suri. He's told me a lot about you."
He kisses my hands as he shakes them, holding his on top of mine. "I hope they were all good things, yes?"
I blushed while nodding and looked over to Axel, who had the most fakest smile I'd ever seen. He looked super uncomfortable with the view of Andrés clearly flirting with me.
"Of course. So you belong to what entity exactly?" I asked him.
"I'm with the Metro Policía de España. The search bloc is a small sub sector, roughly ten to fifteen men, and we deal with the most high profile cases of traffickers in the city. Currently, our biggest case is this one involving the Madrid cartel."
"And how do you know the men in your unit you can trust? Axel told me that the vast majority of the police system and politicians here are corrupt." I spoke.
Andrés guides us to another room, away from the others, and allows us to sit while he closed the door behind him.
"My team is small, so small that our entire operation is a big secret to the general policía working in Madrid. We are like the G-men of España." He smiles. "Every man on my team, I personally trained and selected because of their loyalty and dedication to making Madrid safe again. They have all been affected by Sergio and the other cartel members in many ways. Some lost their parents, children, siblings...they're tired of it all."
