Dan was always there for him. When he needed help on the smallest of tasks, or comfort during his darkest days. He didn't once give up on him. He stayed strong for Dan, he kept going.
They had been best friends since pre-school, throughout Primary (except for when they would have a slight disagreement. But that would last a day, no more) and all through secondary, college and partially university (dan dropped out, but they didn't mind. They were happy and the rent was getting payed.)
Their careers as youtubers together developed, but you would already know that. They won awards together, presented various events and even got their own radio show together.
Not once did they leave each other's sides. Even during their rough patches they loved each other too the end of the universe and back.
It's not surprising really, it was quite obvious. The way they looked at each other was beautiful -no words by the finest of writers could describe the love between them both. Sparks flew. Fireworks exploded. It was magical. They were magical.
Despite their fear for many years, Dan and Phil decided to come out to their audience of millions. It was easily one of the best moments of their lives. Of course their was a fair share of a stupidly unsupportive crowd however most people were so happy for them. Who wouldn't be?
Not many people were lucky enough to have their soul mates as their best friend too.
It was on the 19th of october, 2014 when the question finally popped. Dan asked Phil, Phil said yes. You know where it led. They decided on Howell-Lester.
Their careers together carried on strong, happiness filling their lives.
Everything was perfect.
They got married, and of course adopted. Two children, a sweet girl with blonde hair and dark brown eyes. Her name was Tia Howell-Lester and yet again another angel. Her name was Stella and she has the most amazing green eyes.
Their family bond was unbreakable. No one could split them, ever. They was together forever.
And yet even when Stella and Tia had moved out and their YouTube days were long gone, Dan and Phil were as strong as day 1.
That's the best thing about Dan and Phil.
They we're there for each other.
Always.
Forever.
They hadn't left each other's sides for 57 years.
Sadly not all fairy tales end well.
When Phil was told he had 3 months left to live neither of them knew what to do. How could Phil leave? How could Dan go on without Phil?
But they made his remaining days the best, they did the things he loved.
He passed happy.
Dan held his hand all the way through the mini large battle, and even on the last night he never let go. Not even when the beeping stopped later on in the cold October night. He didn't even cry. Phil would've hated that.
He waited until he got home, accompanied by his two daughters to, to let out the tears. And they never seemed to stop. Not for days. Weeks.
He still loved Phil.
Phil was the only one for him.
And now, every year on that very night, Dan would go to his grave stone, and lay some flowers for him.
"Phil, I do miss you my love. How's it going up in there, eh? I bet it's good to have a break from me right? It's not too long now though, I'll be there soon.
We all miss you dear. You were our sunshine. You still are really.
I love you Phil, forever."
