Request by This_MARVELous_world Sorry if it bad, I'm not really awesome with Gwen or Harry.
Gwen POV:
Peter is really weird sometimes. REALLY WEIRD!
For example, he refuses to call his wrist a wrist. Instead he calls it an armkle.
Unfortunately, he has been doing this for 10 years. That I know of.
Harry and I have to explain what he means to everyone.
Sometimes people's reactions are actually really funny. We actually made two friends that way.
How you may be wondering, well...
Flash Back:
Peter, Harry, and I are eating at a restaurant called X Bar. (Funny story time. My town's mall used to have a restaurant named X Bar. (It closed) In math x bar is the mean, or the average. Now my class jokes that the reason the restaurant closed was because the food was just average.)
As soon as Peter saw the name he starts laughing. Both Harry and I look at him confused. After he notices our looks he explains it's a math nerd thing. Only Peter is a nerd in our group. I use the word with affection of course.
We walk into the restaurant Peter still has a small smile on his face from his math joke. I almost want him to explain it to me, but I don't really do any work tonight.
Before we came to the restaurant we Harry would pay. Only because he's rich. We need to discuss this before the meal because if we didn't Peter would force Harry to let him help pay.
As we sat down Harry said, "I hope the food is good."
Peter snorted and said, "I think it's going to be average."
Okay, that's really out of character thing of Peter to say. Obviously I'm not getting something.
Apparently Harry was thinking the same thing I was because he said, "What are we missing? Why would you say that? Are you sick?"
Peter laughed before saying, " It's the math joke. X bar is another way to say the mean. The mean is the average. So this restaurant is average. Do you get it?"
After a second we start laughing because it's actually really funny. It also explains why Peter called the food average.
—Time Skip To Meal Time—
We talk about everything. I'm glad that we are so comfortable with each other. Even though it's only our second year of high school we are as comfortable together as possible.
Harry is gesturing with his hand holding a knife when he accidentally stabs Peter in the wrist. It's not deep, and we know he's Spider-Man, so we aren't to worried. Well, about him healing.
He turns to face Harry before yelling, "Look what you did to my poor armkle!"
He did it again. I thought he was going to stop, and it looks like I was wrong.
The two people at the table next to us look at us really confused.
The boy asks, "What's an 'armkle'?"
Peter fake dies, and he falls out of his chair.
Both the other girl and I role our eyes at Peter.
He looks at me before turning to the other kids and saying, "This is an armkle. Isn't it obvious." As he's talking he's pointing to his wrist, that still has a knife stuck in it.
The guy nearly passes out, and Peter tells him, "It doesn't hurt because I'm one with the Force."
The other guy responds, "Luke, I am your father. By the way my name is Ned, and that girl is MJ. What are your names."
Peter introduces us, and then he and Ned share their phone numbers.
Flash Forward:
The meeting got us new friends, but it also encouraged Peter calling his wrist armkle. He even got Ned to do it. Eventually he told Ned and MJ he's Spider-Man. Ned actually passed out when he was told that.
Hope you enjoyed it. You don't need to read the rest, but I feel like ranting into this chapter. So we were playing Monopoly today, and this boy straight up lied to my friend. He told her a card was good, but it made her pay everyone $50. Then he tried claiming that he didn't lie. He said he 'cheated the system' or something like that. He didn't he lied. This bothers me more than normal because the other day in science a different boy lied to me. I really don't like when people lie. Sorry for ranting, but this was really bothering me.
