They were all sitting around Vani watching and silently having a competition to see who cried more. Vani or her mom. Right now, it was a tie.
They hadn't let go of each other's hands since the moment she had woken up.
They had found out that Vani had been lied to. Clearly there was no accident. Her parents had been kidnapped. When they woke up, they were here.
They tried contacting her relentlessly. It was futile in the end.
There was commotion outside the door and sure enough, her dad entered.
Behind him was Roshan. Her eyes widened. He looked exhausted.
Naina was immediately there, inspecting him for any signs of injury.
"I'm fine Naina." He said.
"Are you sure?"
He nodded then turned toward the door. "Come in."
In came another boy, few years older than the rest of them, looking uncomfortably similar to Roshan.
She looked at him for an explanation.
"Everyone. Meet my big brother Rohit. Rohit, this is everyone."
He lifted his hand in a weak hi.
Everyone stared at him.
"Your brother?"
"My brother."
"How?", Neha asked.
"Well Neha, sometimes parents you know, do stuff more than once. That results in sibli-"
Neha cut him off, "Oh shut up."
Vani looked up and tried to smile, "Hi. I'm Vani. Nice to meet you Roshan's brother. How are you?" she hiccupped at the end.
This girl god.
They all laughed. It was nice, Neha figured.
Rohit said, "I've heard all about you Vani." He nodded at Mrs Agarwal. She smiled.
"I'll leave you all to it then." She said.
She kissed Vani on the forehead and left.
"I'll leave too." Rohit said.
Now it was the ten of them and Vani's dad.
"Have a seat everyone. Someone wants to meet you all."
He opened the door and in came another man.
Vani and Maverick gasped. "Simon?" they said together.
