Don't read a book,
But feel the words.
Don't read a poem,
But touch its lines.
Don't listen to music,
But sing your song.
Don't just play them,
But feel the notes.
Feel the author's feelings,
Know the poet's sorrows,
Be the singer's voice,
The composer's hand.
Lose yourself in their art,
Feel their presence in you,
Then close the book,
All of this is in you.
