It's been a year now since the farm, we found a new place to set up the prison. This will probably be our permanent home for awhile. Things in the group have changed a lot we found some new people and lost some sadly. We lost Lori due to giving birth to Judith and T-dog got bitten earlier on. We also been having some trouble with this community called Woodbury, the leader calls himself the 'governor' he kidnapped Maggie and Glenn beating the shit out of Glenn. But we retaliated burning some of their homes, some of the people who lived noticed how bad he was and came to be apart of our group.
Kayla's POV
"Carl?" I said laying down on the top bunk. We wanted to share a cell together, he asked me to be his girlfriend the day we found this place.
"Yes?" He asked standing up from the bottom bunk facing me.
"Do we have to do watch?" I whined sitting up from the bed
"Sadly we do." He said smiling helping me down placing a kiss on my cheek.
I nodded grabbing his hand walking outside to the guard towers. Maggie and Glenn were up in the other one doing who knows what. Michonne and Sasha were killing walkers along the fence. Michonne came to prison with baby formula telling us Maggie and Glenn were taken by the governor. Sasha came with her brother Tyrese they use to be apart of Woodbury.
I quickly climbed the ladder Carl following behind me. I picked up the riffle sitting down on one of the chairs.
"You okay?" Carl asked sitting down beside me.
"Yeah just a little dizzy that's all." I responded smiling at him.
"You can go inside and lay down I can do watch." He said
"No Rick told both of us to do it." I said standing up pointing the riffle at the walkers.
He kissed my forehead pointing his riffle the other direction. I have feeling that something bad is going to happen soon. The governor wouldn't just let us destroy their home and not do anything about it. A few hours went by and our shift was over, we climbed down the ladder walking inside to get some dinner.
"Hey Kayla can you take Judith for a second?" Beth asked holding Judith.
"Sure!" I smiled gently taking her from Beth arms rocking her back and forth.
"Hey its my two favorite girls." Carl said kissing us both on the cheek.
Judith finally fell asleep, I took her into Beths cell because that's were her crib is I laid her down putting her blanket over her.
"Thank you." Beth whispered from her doorway.
"No problem." I whispered back leaving her cell going to Carls and I cell. Carl was already in bed but I still wanted to bother him.
"Scoot over please." I told him. He groaned scooting over moving the covers back for me. I took my clothes off throwing on a baggy tee shirt. I got into his bed resting my head into his chest.
"I love you Kayla." Carl said in sleepy tone
"I love you too." I said drifting off to sleep.
