Chapter 14: Together Again

Carl's POV

I looked at Carol giving her a huge hug. I haven't seen Carol in a long time she left before the governor attacked the prison the only person that knew was Daryl and my Dad. She hugged me back and walking over to my dad giving him a hug.

"That was you?" He asked pointing where the explosion happened.

"Yes." She smiled.

"Thank you Carol." He smiled giving her another hug.

"Well guys follow me I have place we're staying at it's not too far from here." She said walking ahead of all us.

"We?" Daryl asked. Carol ignored the question continuing to walk. We walked for about 30 minutes to a very cabin, the door to the cabin opened revealing Tyrese and Judith. Me and my dad ran to Judith joining in on a family group hug. Sasha and Tyrese did the same.

"So what now?" Glenn asked.

"We'll find somewhere else to stay all of us can't live here." My dad said holding Judith.

"Let's hit the road we are burning day light." Abraham chuckled walking with Rosita.

We all nodded gathering supplies then walking to who knows where.

~Two days later~

We've been walking since forever and honestly I'm just ready to sleep anywhere at this point. We ran out of food and water yesterday, everybody was starting to get grumpy. The clouds were starting to get dark meaning a storm was coming soon.

"Hey! I found a barn!" Daryl said from the woods.

We excitedly ran to him following him to the barn, until twigs started to snap and we pointed our gun in the direction.

"Come on out!" Daryl insisted pointing his crossbow.

"I don't want no trouble... I'm here to help you!" The man explained coming from behind a tree with his arms up.

"What's your name?" My dad yelled.

"Aaron." He said throwing his bag towards us.

"Were you following us?" My dad asked pointing his gun.

"Not really following... I seen that your group needed some help I have a community not too far from here I can help you!" He said

"How can we trust you?" Daryl asked grabbing Aarons bag.

"I was sent out here to find a Rick Grimes." Aaron said.

"By who? And how do you know my name?" My dad said walking closer.

"A girl named Kayla she asked me to help find her group she's been with us for a few days now." He said closing his eyes as my dad held his gun up.

"Kayla!! Where is she?!" I said walking towards him.

"She's back in Alexandria I promised her I'll find you guys and I always keep my promises." Aaron said with a slight small.

My dad thought for a moment, debating with himself to see if we should go or not. After a few minutes passed he shook his head meaning that we should go. Daryl gave Aaron his bag back and we all started walking to Alexandria. We walked for a few hours reaching these rusty metal walls.

"Open up it's Aaron they are with me." He called out to the men who were I guess on watch.

"Open the gate!" One of them shouted

The gates opened, we all huddled in with all eyes on us. I held Judith close to me as we followed Aaron through the streets of their community.

"Where are we going?" My dad asked

"You guys are going to meet the people who run this place." He turned around smiling.

~In front of Deanna's house~

"Welcome To Alexandria Everyone I'm Deanna." The small elderly lady said walking off the porch.

We all introduced ourselves looking around the community.

"How do you keep the walls up?" My dad asked.

"Easy not many of those things come this way." She informed.

"Now If you guys are willing to stay here within these walls I would like to interview you all." She smiled.

"Interview us for what?" Daryl snarled.

"I would like to get to know you all." She smiled motioning us to come in her home.

We all had our interviews telling her a little bit about our group and how we survived. Spencer one of sons showed us some houses that we can live in, we all went out separate ways walking in our new homes.

I gently handed Judith to Michonne as I walked upstairs to my 'bedroom'. I walked in scanning the place kicking my shoes off, I then walked over to the window to see something I wish I didn't see. It was Kayla and some boy walking together down the street.
