Carl's POV

"I don't need you anymore!" Those kept playing in mind like a endless tape recorder that doesn't have a pause button. Did I really hurt her that bad that she doesn't want anything to do me? I have to go find her and at least talk to her convince her that I was telling the truth.

I walked back to my house catching a few glares from people in the community but I didn't care my only focus was to find Kayla. I packed a small bag with some supplies then making my way over the wall because I knew the wouldn't open the gate for me. I walked through the woods making sure I was out of sight of Alexandria.

Once I couldn't see the metal walls anymore I stepped out the woods walking the road. I seen a few walkers dead on the ground that have been freshly killed not to long ago. I continued walking the road not knowing really where to go, until I came across a sign that said "Lexington". I turned down the road seeing a neighborhood that looked pretty empty well I hope it's empty.

I pulled my gun out my holster pointing up as I checked the first house. Nothing. I went on to the next house seeing two walkers scratching at a door I quickly shot them in the head. ( Gun has a silencer on it ) I opened the door and there she was sitting with her head in her knees she quickly looked up and sighed.

"Why did you follow me?" Kayla asked as her voice cracked.

"Because you're out here by yourself and it's not safe." I told her kneeling down in front of her.

"I'm fine... just go back home." She said rolling her eyes and looking the other direction.

"Now you know I can't do that." I said sitting my hat beside me. There was silence between us for a moment and all you could hear were the birds chirping outside.

"Do you like her?" Kayla asked looking up at me. I can tell she's been crying her cheek were stained with tears and her eyes were puffy.

"No, I don't... I only like and love one person that is you." I sighed sitting beside her glancing over her. Her cheeks fluttered red as she heard those words facing me.

"I missed you Carl, for the past month everything sucked. I couldn't get you out my head." She said resting her head onto my shoulder.

"I missed you too and I know I'm sorry about that if I can go back in time and change that day I would." I said softly wrapping my arms around her shoulder.

"I forgive you." Kayla said pecking my cheek with a kiss.

"Thank you for giving me another chance.... but can I ask you something?" I asked smiling down at her.

"Ask away." She said sitting up facing me.

"Will you be my girlfriend again?" I asked slightly raising an eyebrow at her.

"Yes!" She said jumping into my arms placing many kisses all over my face.

"Now let's go home." I said getting up then helping her up from the floor. I grabbed my bag along with my hat as we made our way out the house and going back to Alexandria.
