I was really worried about Joe

I was really worried about Joe. Ever since we got back he'd been so quiet, and shut himself away from us.

I didn't know what to do. I felt helpless. I knew how much this was hurting him, as I'd never seen him like that before.

I put Esme down for her nap, as Teddy looked at me. "Mama, Dada sad?" He asks, following me.
"He is bub, he needs one of your special cuddles to help him feel better." I say, as I manged to pry the door open.

As I walked in the sight in front of me broke my heart. Joe was curled on the floor with his head in his hands, I could hear soft cries coming from him, it broke my heart. Teddy runs up to him, and cuddles him. ''Dada no cry.'' Teddy says. Joe looks up, and wraps his arms around him, rocking him back and forth.

''Thanks Bud, I'm all good now.'' He smiles, sniffing.

''Ted, why don't you go and play with your toys in your room. Whilst I talk to Daddy?'' He nods, happily running off.

I sit on the floor next to Joe, and turn him to face me. '''Bub talk to me.'' I say, lifting his chin up.

''I don't know what to say, Dianne,'' He sighs. ''I feel like most of my childhood was a lie,'' He now looks up at me with tears in his eyes. ''I had no idea about her, Di. I could have loved her, I could have gotten to know her. My own parents lied to me. Dad cheated, I.'' I finishes.

''Joe. Honestly I don't know what to say. But, I know you feel like that now. But why can't you get to know her now? It's not too late you know bub. Joe, its not her fault. She was lied to, too.'' I say.

He sighs. ''I know. And I feel bad for kicking off like that. I know it's not Millie's fault. I was just angry. At Mum and Dad. I shouldn't have said what I did to Millie. Di, I do want to get to know her, I do. But the way I behaved, would she even talk to me?'' Joe asks.

''I'm sure she will Joe. She knows you were angry. I'm sure if you spoke to your Dad and got her numb-'' Joe shakes his head.

''No I am not talking to my Dad. I want her number, but not from him.'' Joe says.

''Alright. Well, I'll get her number. We'll invite to her London, and get to know her?'' I ask.

''Okay. And Di?'' I nod. ''thanks, darling.'' He says. ''I don't know what I'd do without you.'' He smiles, kissing my lips.

''Joe, I'll always be here for you. Don't you forget that. I love you. And that won't change.'' I say.

''I'll always be here for you, too, and I love you.'' He smiles.

The Next Day

I'd managed to get a hold of Millie's number. And Joe apologized to her. Millie was fine with it, as she was upset and angry herself. So could see where Joe was coming from, and understood.

We had arranged to meet Millie in a pub in London. So, I got the kids ready. My Mum and Dad agreed to watch them for the day. We didn't want to introduce them to Millie just yet, with them being young still.

We arrived at the pub, Joe ordering us a drink as we waited for Millie to arrive.

''Why am I nervous Di?'' Joe says, taking my hand and interlocking fingers.

''Because you're about to meet your long lost sister, properly,'' I say. ''its perfectly normal, bub.'' I say.

He nods, taking a deep breath as we see Millie walk in.

''Hi.'' Joe says, awkwardly smiling as he stands up.

''Hi Joe. I'm your sister Millie.'' Millie speaks, Joe pulls her in for a hug.

''Then I guess I'm your brother. Hi, Mils.'' He smiles.

Millie smiles, as we sit down.

////

''Again I'm really sorry for how I behaved yesterday.'' Joe says.

''Honestly Joe no need. I can understand. I was the same to be honest. I felt lied to. And you being seven years older than me, I couldn't imagine how you felt.'' Millie said.

''Still, it wasn't your fault. So, again, I'm sorry.'' Joe says.

''Stop apologizing.'' Millie laughs.

''Right.'' Joe nods before laughing.

We had a lovely long chat with Millie. She is lovely. And most definitely a Sugg.

''She is definitely your sister Joe.'' I giggle.

''Pulling pranks? Yep, most definitely a Sugg.'' Joe chuckles.

''Millie?'' I ask.

''Yes, Dianne?'' She smiles.

''Seems as you're a Sugg, how would you like to be a part of our wedding? You are family after all.'' I smile.

''Wow. Thank you.'' Millie smiles.

''You can bring a plus one, if you like?'' Joe says.

''Oh,'' She says. ''thanks.''

She stuttered at the word plus one.

Which seemed odd.

I couldn't help but feel like Millie was hiding something.

But what?

A.N. I'm bacckkkkkk!!!! Yay!

Sorry I've been so inactive.

But hopefully these will be more frequent!
