I looked at my scar in the mirror, it caught my attention every time. I could hardly remember how it got there, but I remembered the stitches I got from a stripper. Apparently, I was fucking around wit somebody baby mama and I got shanked. They said I put up a good fight for a nigga who couldn't walk straight. I dried my hair and hung my towel on the bathroom door. Strolling into the basement I put on my shirt and glanced into the kitchen.
Chris held groceries, "Aye! you needa stop eating this food so fast. This my second time going to the store for yo hungry ass. How you eat all that shit in two days?" He dumped the bags on the counter.
I chuckled, "Fuck outta here, did you give Jessica that letter yet?" I sprayed cologne on my neck.
"Naw man, Ima get it to her today. I just be forgetting." He shrugged.
Since the day I met Chris he was lazy as fuck. I needed Jess to read that letter quick and I ain't know anybody besides him that could give it to her. When I read Jessica's letter at the hospital, I knew I had to leave this fuck ass city. I want to start something new for myself, but I have some unfinished business.
I nodded my head and walked into the kitchen, "You sure yo people ain't gon find me down here?" I unbagged the groceries.
He shrugged, "They shouldn't, they hardly be home. Just keep doing what you doing, and they'll never know." He walked towards the door. "Aight Ima head out for school." He threw up deuces and left.
Chris was a real one, he was letting me stay in his basement until I got my shit together. The only downside was I couldn't walk through his house to get anything. Cameras surrounded most of his house, inside and out. The only dead spot was the basement and garage. If his parents found out I was here they'd kick me out with no hesitation, but I swore I'd have my own place before that came close to happening.
Today, we have a stakeout, all I have to do is get it right and I could get my first bag. Once I was ready I could resolve my issue with Hakeem. Word about my loss spread into the streets. I needed my respect back and the only way was by killing Hakeem. He was like a brother to me, but you don't betray family.
"Hurt him." A voice sneered.
Another laughed maliciously, "Hurt him like he hurt us..."
She disagreed, "W... we shouldn't, that's Moani's brother, She'd be devastated."
"Bitch shut the fuck up!" I slammed my hands on the counter. "She don't need him, he ain't no good for Moani or anyone else." I opened the fridge.
The way Hakeem treated Dynasty showed he ain't have respect for anybody. He threw her to the side like she was nothing. He disrespected his sister by fucking and dumping her best friend. From the dawn of time Hakeem was fucking over females. Ariel was the only female I cheated on and that's because I heard she cheated on me. She'd still be mine if Jessica ain't run her big ass mouth. I always had her back, why she ain't have mine?

I laughed at Hakeem, "You guys kissed when we were watching the Magic school bus?" I asked, fascinated.
I was in the fourth grade, and came from being homeschooled. All the things I was hearing I thought only happened in movies, everything was new to me. Everybody I knew already had their first kiss, and I was still trying to get noticed by some girls. Most of them thought I was weird because of how proper I talked, but granny didn't play that stuff she thought any ounce of improper wording was disrespectful in her house.
