Luke

I woke up around 8:00 today. Rolling out of bed, I groaned and walked out to the kitchen. I was met with Ashton and Calum's music again and Michael's snores. I took a seat next to Cal at the bar. I sat, rubbing my eyes and let out a yawn. Calum turned to me with a smirk and Ashton leaned over the counter on his forearms. "What?" Calum's smirk deepened. "How'd yesterday go?" I rolled my eyes at him. Ashton gave me and Cal a confused look. "What? What was yesterday?" Cal laughed slightly. "Lukey here ran into his little girlfriend and spent the day taking care of her." Ash still looked confused, so I rolled my eyes and explained. "Yesterday on my run, I saw Sadie and uh- her ex. He was gripping onto her arm so tight it was turning red so I told him that he needed to let her go and walk away and he did so, but Sadie- she uh- she ended up with a fractured wrist, that's why I was with her most of the day, I took her to the hospital and got it casted. Then I took her home." Ashton put a hand over his heart and waved his spatula in a heart shaped manner. "Aw young love." I rolled my eyes again. "Yea mate, when are you gonna ask her out?" Calum said nudging me. "We all see the way the two of you look at each other. We can clearly see how much you like her." I blushed and looked at the ground. "I don't think I should, why would she want to go out with me. We barely have enough money to pay rent this month, I couldn't take her anywhere fancy." I said covering my face with my hands.

Ashton walked over to me and slapped a hand on my shoulder. "Luke. I see the way she looks at you. She just wants to spend time with you. It doesn't matter where. Hell, she'd be happy with an order from Macca's and a little set up near the beach." He said laughing. I pulled my head from my hands now getting an idea. I looked at Ash and Calum and smiled. Cal smirked at me, giving me a knowing nod. "Go call and ask her." I got up and gave the two a short bro hug before picking up my phone and calling.

It rang a few times before I heard her beautiful voice. "Hello?" I smiled hearing that she must have just woke up. "Hi." I say, biting my smile down. "Luke? What's up?"  She asked, sounding a little more awake. "What are you doing tonight?" I heard her yawn from the other line and a little shuffling, meaning she had just stretched and sat up in her bed. "Hmmm.. not sure. Maybe I'll be with a tall blonde Australian at the time can we reschedule?" I laughed at her comment, unable to hide the growing smile on my face. I heard her laugh from the other end and knew she was smiling. "Perfect. I'll pick you up at 6:00 okay?" She giggles a little bit. "Why, Luke Hemmings, are you asking me out on a date?" She says in a fake proper accent. I laugh, "Why, I do believe I am Miss Slater. That I am." I say in my own proper accent causing her to laugh. "Be ready by 6:00 okay?" I could almost see her biting her lip and hiding that gorgeous smile behind her thumb. "Okay." We hang up and I rush back out to the living room to tell the boys my plan.

"Lany! I'm serious! Come over right now I need your help!" Sadie exclaimed from the other end of the phone.

I giggled and rolled my eyes. Luke had finally asked Suds out and now she was calling me for help saying he gave her no information  other than he'd be picking her up at 6:00.

"Okay okay, calm down I'm on my way over." I say laughing before hanging up and making the walk to Sadie's. Luckily she only lives like 5 minutes from my house.

I walk into the Slater's house and wave hello to Kelly and Cassandra who were sitting n the couch. They wave back and I make my way up to Sadie's room. When I walk in, I'm instantly hit in the face with a shirt. I laugh and plop down on Sadie's bed. "Suds, why are you stressing so much?" She groans from inside her closet. I sigh and stand up, "Come here." She walks out with her head hanging low, she shuffles over into my arms as I hug her. "I just don't want to mess this one up. I want to look perfect and act perfect and be perfect." She says with a heavy sigh as she wraps her arms around me. "Suds you look absolutely stunning in whatever you wear. Luke thinks so too." I say and pull away to look at her. "Are you sure?" She says, pouting slightly. I nod my head. "Are you joking? The poor boy's jaw drops the second he sees you!" I say and Sadie blushes and bites her lip. A smile breaks onto my face as I think of the perfect outfit.
