The gentle waves of the water reflected pale grey clouds which lingered close to the surface. Every so often, a rain drop or two would make its way down, plummeting until it reached its end on the salty bay. There was a slow silence amongst the noise of the ocean, and also on board the rusted boat that floated along the shoreline. A man dawning a yellow rain coat stood at the edge, preparing a harpoon onto the handle. He inhaled the smoke from his cigar, pulling it out between his two wrinkled fingers and exhaling into the air.
"Time to get em"
"Not yet, we have to make an entrance. Here, get back to the game man, go-fish"
"Go-fish? I thought we were playing Uno!"
"Just stay back, wait for my signal. And oh yeah I forgot, then draw two cards"
"I'm not even from earth and I know the rules of the game better than you"
The man leaned his knees against the edge of the rocking vessel, locking eyes on the snout that broke the surface of the waves for a breath. He narrowed his eyes, readying his harpoon.
"Ha! Reverse, now you take two!"
"What the world?! I was about to win!"
"Haha! Checkmate!"
"Now you're just mocking me. Oh, look, I think it's time to make our entrance"
"What's up with you and entrances?"
Rain dropped from the strands of his hair, and seeped into his greying. beard. About four or five other poachers sat around on the boat with him, watching him as he prepared to shoot his acquired target.
"Now"
"God, finally!"
The hatch of the silent and invisibly disguised Quinn Jet opened, and two figures slipped down on thin black ropes to the back end of the vessel. Once their feet touched the surface, the ropes rolled back up to the Jet that was cloaked with the invisibility feature. One of the people who emerged from the Jet wore a slim black suit, along with a cargo jacket and thick, strapped brown boots. They both unhooked the vests from their shoulders and ghosted along the back end of the boat.
None of the poachers had spotted them just yet. The smaller one of the pair readied his weapon, which extended out to a much larger size and magnitude "Rocket" the girl with him hissed "We are not killing anybody!"
"Then why am I here?!"
"Just knock em off the boat"
"Yeah yeah, whatever"
The poacher had the edge of the harpoon aimed at the snout of the creature in the water. A smirk was on his lips as his finger pressed against the trigger. She raised up her hand, counting down from three to one with her glove covered fingers. Once she was at one, she pointed to the man with the yellow coat. She mouthed 'go'. Instantly, they both jumped out from their hiding spots on the boat. She ran across the slick wooden floor, jumping onto the ledge and propelling herself off, knocking her knee into the poachers jaw. The four other men on the boat scrambled from their places.
