-just relax your mind-
[chris' pov]

i go out of my apartment at 3 AM because a patient was being impatient and i need the money. i go out of the building where i was leaving and i wait in front until the guy seeking for white dollies came.

i look up and see a brown girl with long straight black hair smoking. "make you feel lucky, lucky, make you wanna love me, love, baby when you with me, with me, got no worries, worries." she sings along while she dances chill to the beat of the song.

her singing made me feel some type of way. it was enchanting. but its just another girl. i gotta focus on myself, i don't have time to be catching feelings like a bitch.

the guy i was looking for comes in front of me and i put my hoodie on. i look left and right to make sure no one gonna snitch.

"what's up Chris? you got the stuff?"

i nod and he gives me the money while i give him some pills and a pack of whites.

"that's my g!" he hits my arm. i fake smile while he leaves.

i look up at the singing girl and she stopped singing but the song was still playing. she was just staring at me. i could tell by her look that she was disappointed even though we've never met.

surprisingly she smiles and slowly shakes her head teasing me.

"you not snitching are you?" I ask her.

she shakes her head a no.

"what's your name?"

she doesn't talk.

"i'm chris, and you?"

she shuts down the cigarette on her hand "lucy." she talks.

something about her was mysterious and she seemed like she gave no fucks in this world.

i nod and enter the building. i yawn and right when i closed the front door of the building she starts singing softly.
"just relax your mind and take it easy..."

her voice... why is it so beautiful... no fuck. chris. stop. you have other bitches, a pretty face and a beautiful voice doesn't mean shit.

i then sat in front of the door that was the entrance to the building and i closed my eyes as i was listening to her voice. it made me calm.
