TW:
The lady was back.
Well, not her, exactly, but her spirit.
A different lady came into my room.
She was the lady's daughter.
I knew it.
Roman POV
Virgil emerged from the room, followed closely by Dr Picani. He looked sad, but also happy, as if something that had been bothering him for a while had suddenly gone away. I was stuck with a thought that I was that something, but I quickly pushed it away as Virgil motioned for me to come towards him. He smiled slightly and grabbed my hand, dragging me into the room.
"Would you like to tell him, Virgil?" Dr Picani asked. He nodded and turned to me.
"I, I, uh, have anxiety, and probably PTSD." Virgil mumbled, his bangs falling over his eyes as he looked at the ground. I smiled and pushed them back.
"That's ok. We can get you help." I simply said. He looked at and I saw the corners of his mouth twitch slightly.
"Well, I think that Virgil will be fine as long as he has regular healthy meals. And Roman, I'll talk to your mum about therapy for Virgil. I assume that she is his guardian now?" Dr Picani said. I nodded and grabbed Virgil's hand.
"Thank you!" I said as we walked out of the building. I fished around in my pocket, trying to find my phone. I was about to pull it out when I was interrupted by a loud honk. I looked up to see my dad in his minivan looking at Virgil and I. I grinned and pulled Virgil with me into the car, saying 'hi' to my dad as I closed the door.
"Hey kids. How was your session?" He asked. I shrugged and looked at Virgil. He gazed at me with fear in his eyes. I could tell that he wasn't quite ready to engage in a conversation with my dad. Smiling, I took his hand and turned back to my dad.
"It was great! We found out that Virgil has anxiety, which means that we can help him in the ways he needs." I declared. I saw Dad smile at me through the mirror, which caused me to smile too. It was silent until we got home, and when we did, Virgil and I went straight up to my bedroom. I shut the door, and turned around to see Virgil playing with his hands on the bed.
"Um, Roman?" He mumbled. I took his hand.
"Yes?" I answered. He focused on the ground and started shaking.
"A-are you embarrassed about me? Or do you hate me because I have anxiety? Because I promise I'll change, just please don't-" I cut off his rant and squeezed his hand.
"Virgil, why on earth would I hate you? You've done nothing wrong. You most likely had anxiety when I first met you, but we only just found out about it. Nothing has changed. You're still the same Virgil. The same Virgil that I love." I said. I saw his eyes brighten at the last part as he pushed himself onto my lap.
"Thank you." He mumbled and he buried his head into my jacket.
"Any time, Vee." I whispered.~~~{ Time Skip }~~~
I awoke to Virgil hugging onto me. I blushed slightly and pushed him off. He grunted and hugged tighter.
"Virgil. Time to get up. It's school time." I said. He groaned and flopped over.
"But I don't wanna." He mumbled. I picked him up in a princess carry and took him over to my desk. Setting him down in the chair, I opened my closet and started rummaging in the clothes.
"What are you doing?" He asked, spinning in the chair.
"I'm getting you clothes. You can't keep wearing that hoodie." I said, folding my arms. He hissed at me and hugged his hoodie tight.
