Chapter 5: Aftermath

*Briana*

I couldn't talk. Jen just looked at Alexa and I as if to make sure we weren't dreaming. My face turned red, my eyes filled with tears.

"Oh no.. not here you don't.." Lexa grabbed my hand and walked me straight into the locker room. Jenna followed close behind.

"How did they know all that?" Jenna was angry and confused.

"I don't know.. Did Luís say anything to them? Or maybe they were outside the door." Lexa grabbed a tissue for me and rubbed my back trying to calm me down.

"That was ridiculous. Why would they do something like that?" I was starting to calm down.

"Luís is mean but I don't think he would say anything about me like that."

"He left right away B, I don't think he was involved." Jenna reassured.

"I think he only heard the part about you having feelings for Ben. I doubt he'll say anything." Lexa was honest.

I splashed some water on my face and tried to relax. Fifteen minutes passed before we walked back out into the main area. We were about to leave before Jackson walked over to us with Germaine, Raymond, and Porter.

"I'm so sorry about that. How are you feeling?" Germaine gave Alexa a kiss on the cheek and immediately hugged Jen and I.

Jackson looked upset but he was thinking more than talking.

"What's on your mind Captain Crunch" Porter nudged Jackson and brought him back to us.

"Why they would do that and put a riff in the team? It's not like them."

"Maybe they just wanted to pull a prank" Germaine added in.

"Well it's a really bad one. Sounds like more bullying to me." Porter was mad.

He views me and the girls as little sisters. With Porter's temper, I'm surprised he didn't start fighting with them immediately.

"What are we gonna do Josh?" Lexa looked up at Jackson.

"I'll figure something out. See you tomorrow." Jackson gave the girls and I each a hug and tapped Raymond and Porter before walking out.

Germaine pulled Lexa in for one last kiss before he left with the other guys.

The girls and I grabbed our bags and went outside to meet our rides. I gave Lexa a hug and she left with Jenna and her brother. I was one of the last ones to get picked up. I sat down on the sidewalk away from Luís and held my knees to my chest. I wasn't there for long before Mike pulled in the parking lot and stopped in front of us. I put my bag in the trunk and got into the back set. Luís sat in the front and didn't say a word.

*20 minutes later*

We pulled up to 24hr Fitness and Ben got in the car. He threw his backpack in the trunk and put his seat belt on. Everyone was silent.

"Hey guys, what's going on? Everyone's so quiet." Ben looked at me then at Luís.

"B, are you okay? Did something happen?" Ben's tone shifted from happy to concerned.

"Not sure, no one will talk. I think something happened at practice." Mike was the only one to respond.

When I looked at Briana, she was sitting, so quiet, hugging her knees to her chest. It made me worried since she only does that when she's upset. I didn't say anything else until we reached my house. We parked the car and Luís grabbed his bag and went straight for the front door. Bri got out of the car slowly, getting out last and grabbed her bag. She dropped it in the mud room near the garage and went to the outdoor patio. I was confused, so was Mike. I didn't wanna talk to Luís, so I settled with going out and talking to Briana. I tried asking her a few questions, but she she didn't talk. She turned away and put her head down. I brought her a soda, leaving it on the porch next to her, then went back inside.
