Querole's POV

The girl was like a firecracker. She was my age, 16. But I know more about what is happening than she does. Even though Normally they come here at 16, I've been here forever. Literally. I was born right after my mom got to her room one night. Milesia came two weeks after, right on her birthday. She is now 32.

"Where are we going?" Lydia stopped in her tracks. "Obviously in the building." I said sarcastically. Milesia gave me a shut-up-or-I-will-kill-you look. I did. "We are taking you to where you will be safe. We aren't the bad guys. They are." Milesia nodded towards the door.

Lydia turned her head to look at the little dot through the door frame. She was thinking about people she cared about, who she would never see again. They all did. I mean, all who come here. They always make that same face. I never did. The only one I care about is with me. Milesia.

She was pretty much my mom. Ever since my mom and dad were some how stripped of their powers and forced to leave, Milesia took me in. She was new at it, but she did great. I love her as much as anyone could ever. Not in a way like, boyfriend girlfriend type. Just family style.

Now there might be some one else who was getting into my special-person-zone. I couldn't like Lydia though. I was going to help train her and teach her. And my first lesson was room location.

Milesia split off, leaving me and Lydia alone. I found a guide and gave it to her. "What are your favorite colors?" I asked. "Uh..blue, green, and yellow?"she replied curiously. Then she gasped. The guide showed and blue, green, and yellow dotted trail to a room. "That is were your room is. Let's go." I took off running, but it didn't stun her like I had hoped. She caught up with me quickly.

We got to her room and paused outside the door, catching our breath. "Hey, you know, you're actually pretty hot when you're sweaty." I said, chuckling a little. She stood up straight and I did the same. I thought she was going to compliment me, too. I was wrong.

SMACK!!!!

My face burned where her hand made contact with my skin. "Don't you ever try to flirt with me again." she said furiously and slammed the door in my face. I heard the lock slide into place.

"Already making a new enemy, I see.

I turned around to see Milesia, smiling at me.

"Oh, that? That was nothing." I tried to cover up my embarrassment. It failed. "Whatever, Querole. Just be careful where you step, now. She is more powerful than you think, even without training." I nodded, and we walked back to our apartment, talking about what she would learn next.
