13| Anything for You

I got the ring on Trav's hand then I pulled him up. Mahigpit na niyakap ko s'ya at saka ako umiyak sa dibdib n'ya.

"L-Love?" Travis nervously called.

I took a step back then I tiptoed to kiss him.

"Of course, Trav, I'll marry you. Oh my God!" I cried.

Travis chuckled, tears rolling down his face.

I held his face then I seriously stared at his eyes. "P-Pero 'di na muna ngayon." Aktong lalayo s'ya sa akin pero hinigpitan ko ang hawak ko sa kanya. "Trav, I have dreams before you stepped in my life. I want to achieve those dreams."

"Puwede naman na abutin 'yong mga pangarap mo kahit mag-asawa na tayo. Palagi namang ikaw ang nasusunod sa ating dalawa, Tia."

I shook my head. "Iba, Travis. I want to prove myself as I am. I want to establish myself on my own. Not in the shadow of your name. I want to be a daughter of my parents before I'll be your wife. Please understand."

"Hindi, Tia." Trav shook his head then freed himself on my touch. Tinalikuran n'ya ako at saka bahagyang lumayo. "I can't understand. Why don't you want to be my wife? Ako naman 'yong intindihin mo. I'm always giving everything to you. I completely gave everything up to you. Pero ako... I don't have that assurance from you. You don't understand that I always have this doubt in me. Palagi akong natatakot na isang araw iiwan mo na lang ako. Kasi parang ang dali sa'yo na gawin 'yon. Napakadali sa'yo na iwan ako. Napakadali para sa'yo na ipagtulakan ako. Madali sa'yo na wala ako." Trav cried then faced me. "P-Paano naman ako? Hindi ko kaya na wala ka, Tia."

I went to him then hugged him.

Oh, Travis. I am so in love with you. But we have to think of other things aside from our relationship. Madami pang pagsubok ang mundo.

"You have to trust my love. Travis, I love you. I don't know how to prove it, but I am sure that in this lifetime, I'll love only you. Hindi kasal o anumang papel ang makakapagpatunay n'on."

Matagal na walang kumibo sa aming dalawa.

"Alright." Sa wakas ay sabi n'ya. He got the ring on my hand and I gasped when he threw it.

"Trav!"

He shrugged then he walked towards the car. He opened the passenger side.

"Hatid na kita sa inyo," he coldly said.

I looked at the direction where he threw the ring. I can feel my heart aching.

"Come on, Tia," Travis urged me.

Travis went to his side, leaving the door open for me.

I mindlessly walked towards the car. The moment I closed the door, Travis drove off.

"H'wag mo na muna ako'ng iuwi sa amin." I said in a small voice.

Travis nodded but didn't say anything. The whole drive to his condo unit was dead silent. When we got there, he went straight to the shower after tossing the keys to the coffee table.

I sighed then I texted my mother that I won't be home.

"Love," I gently called after going inside the bathroom. Trav's under the shower, and he didn't respond.

I stripped myself then I went inside the shower room. I wrapped my arms around Travis.

"Travis Lawrence, I love you with every pieces of me." I tried to sound sweet. I shower gentle kisses on his back.

"Uh-huh."

I sighed then I hugged him more.

"Love, don't be mad," I pleaded.
