I walked down the hall looking down at the tile floor, completely in my own world when I felt someone bump into me.

"Watch where you're going," Teagan said.

"You can watch where you're going because you know you saw me right here," I snapped.

"What'd you say?" She asked trying to get in my face.

I was shorter than her but I didn't care.

"I said you can watch where the fuck you're going because you know you saw me right here. Did I stutter?"

"Bitch I'm getting really sick and tired of you and your sister," she said as she took out her earrings.

"I'm not fighting you right here. If you want to fight then you can wait for me to get my stuff in my book bag and we can walk off of school grounds," I said.

"Okay bitch then go do that!" She said trying to act all tough in front of her friends.

I went to my locker and Kaden was waiting there for my like always.

"Why is Teagan watching you like that?" He asked.

"Because we're about to go fight," I said nonchalantly as I put my books into my book bag.

"Wait where's Alana?" He asked as he got up from leaning on the wall.

"I don't know and I don't care," I said before closing my locker.

"Let me call her," he said as we started walking.

He told her to find us at the park that was a few blocks away from the school. Eventually Alana caught up with us and she had Caesar with her. As we got closer to the park I pulled my hair back into a ponytail before tying my hoodie over my head.

I set my bookbag on the table before Teagan pushes me. I punched her straight in her face with my right hand and then my left. She grabbed onto my hoodie but I kept sending blows to her face.

"Beat that bitch ass Amara!" Alana yelled.

Eventually Teagan fell back on her ass but I kept punching her. I felt somebody pick me up off her. As they were pulling me off I stomped on her head.

"Chill! Chill out yo! Stop!" I heard Quinton yelling in my ear.

Once he got me far enough away from her he let me go. I snatched my arm away from him before Teagan tried to run up again. I kicked her but she didn't fall so I started punching back to back like I was before. I felt a girl pulling on my hoodie and hitting me but it wasn't long before Alana jumped in. I flipped Teagan to the floor before punching her some more before Quinton pulled me off of her again but this time I didn't fight against him because I was tired.

I saw Alana banging the girls head against the park table before they fell but Alana hurried to get on top of the girl before sending blows to her face. Teagan just sat there and watched before Caesar broke it up.

"Alright, alright. That's enough," he said like he didn't really care.

"Try and jump my sister again bitch!" Alana yelled at the girl.

I grabbed my bag so we could go. We were riding in Caesar's car today so we had to walk all the way back to the schools parking lot.

"So are we gonna tell them when we get home or no?" Kaden asked as he looked over the video he took.

"If we do we can't tell James," Alana said before all of us agreed.

"Yeah, Lynn would actually find joy in watching this," Kaden said.

We got home and washed up. Of course my mom was happy we won and didn't get suspended. I sat in my room when Quinton came knocking on my door.

"It's open," I said not knowing who it was.

"Hey," He said causing me to look back down at my computer.

"You got a phone charger I can use?" He asked but I ignored him.

"Amara," He said but I didn't respond.

"Amara I know you hear me," he said but I still didn't respond.

"Why you ignorin me?" He said walking up to me.

"Amara... you mad at me or somethin?" He asked but I didn't answer.

He kept trying to talk to me and I kept ignoring him. Eventually he gave up and left. I don't know why he would care so much. Besides we're not friends, we're not siblings. We're simply two people who live together.
