"Jacob... thank you for coming in," Detective Wires said.

"People are saying you had a romantic relationship with Amara Perada. Is that correct?"

"Somewhat... it was... complicated," Jacob replied.

"Hmm, complicated how?" She asked.

"She was really into that whole no labels thing. Probably wasn't even that just that she didn't want to give up being single," he replied.

"Was she seeing other people while the two of you were together?"

"I know she was but she always had an excuse for it."

About a year ago...

"So you went out with Brandon?" Jacob asked walking up to me at my locker.

"Huh?"

"If you can huh you can hear. You went out with Brandon," he said.

"I mean yeah... why?"

"He's been talkin about it. Sayin you fucked him or some shit-"

"Wait what?! I never did that. I went out with him but I didn't even kiss him," I said.

"Well that's not what people are tellin me. Plus the fuck is you doin goin out with Brandon when you with me-"

"Woah woah woah. Jacob we are not dating. Hell, we're barely even talking. We haven't even kissed yet and you're trying to pull that territorial shit," I said cutting him off.

"Then what are we?"

"Two people who flirt every now and then. That's it," I said.

"Well I want to be more than that. I want to be able to call you mine," he said putting his hand on my locker as I leaned against it.

"Yo, Amara!" Quinton called me.

"He always around when I'm tryna say somethin," Jacob chuckled.

"'Cuse me," Quinton said before moving Jacob's arm out the way.

"Yo we talkin," Jacob said.

"Do I look like I give a damn?... No. So that shit was irrelevant," Quinton said.

"Q-"

"I need to holla atchu," Quinton said.

"Okay but we're in the middle of a conversation," Jacob said.

"And my foot bout to be in the middle of yo ass if you don't shut the fuck up speakin to me-"

"Come on, what do you need to say?" I said pulling Quinton away from Jacob.

"You got practice today?"

"Yeah," I replied.

"Alright I'll have to pick you up this week because Lynn working overtime," he said and I nodded.

"Okay that's fine but is that all?"

"Pretty much," he shrugged causing me to shake my head.

At lunch me and Kaden talked about the usual.

"I'm takin Melanie out this weekend," he smiled.

"That's good you excited?"

"Hell yeah I'm excited. I thought she wasn't gone fuck with me ya feel me but you know she couldn't resist the kid," he smiled causing me to laugh.

Melanie and Kaden have been talking for a little bit. At first Melanie didn't know if she wanted to fuck with him because he was a sophomore and she was a junior but they're the same age so it really doesn't matter. They seemed happy whenever they were around each other and that's what matters more than anything else. That's goes for everything I think... right?
