Morning. 20th August, 2018. Monday.

Aaron wakes up faster. Aaron brushes faster. Aaron eats faster. Aaron is being scolded by his mother faster. Aaron forgot to bring his bag from upstairs, and so he grabs it faster.

Fast. Fast. Fast.

Aaron's day is relentless to his heart, which is beating arrhythmic-ally the whole morning. When the house has the usual, serene morning silence, Aaron breaks that with heavy eating, heavy breathing and heavy footsteps. The tone of his voice seems slightly raised, with absolutely no explanation of this unnatural vitality. The dining table shakes as Aaron sprints to the main door and, by leaving a single 'bye mom' at the door, disappears. 

This is the day when Aaron opens up. To Irina. To the gang. He has to become a part of them. His Pinterest homepage, if checked last night, was filled with motivation quotes and ways to overcome communication barriers, along with all those aesthetic pictures. This, to Aaron, is the spark to the greatest explosion of his life.

As Aaron's mind races faster than his heart, he soon loses track of his way and bumps into a streetlight, and thanks to the helmet, his day is saved. His long-sleeved Gap, however, has torn and left him a bleeding wound, and so blinded by excitement was he, that he noticed it just before the main door of the school. He is about to push it, but a thought prevents him. He plugs his earbuds and turns on the radio to whatever song it comes, just to make a(n) (overwhelmingly) dramatic entry. 

A song finishes, and two seconds later, this plays:

As the school door opens, everything is in slow motion: students going in and out of places, the sound of lockers now inaudible, a couple kissing in the corner, coaches running down and about the hall,  and of course, cheerleaders streaming into the locker room for practice. Not a single member of the gang is within sight, and Aaron half-expected that he'd see Ashley among the cheerleaders. 

And there she is. 

Without blinking, Aaron pulls out the earbuds keeps his eyes steady on her. She is approaching him. His heart starts that rowdy beating, again, his head getting heavier than his feet. She is some 50 meters away from him when a voice calls from behind.

''Ireeeena Mabonn!!''

And the distance gets closer.

When it's 10, a body rushes past Aaron and hugs her.

''Madelle!! My goddd. How have you been?''

Everything comes back to normal speed. and the colors in Aaron's face is dripping down as another song is already up on the radio. Aaron looks away in sorrow when suddenly Neha Mallik brushes past him,  winking. Too slow. Irina has already noticed her, and suddenly leaves that hug and looks at Aaron with a dirty grin. 

''OOOkayyyy??''

''Ah n-no no no . That's not what you think it is''. The bamboozled Neha looks at a wide-eyed Aaron and a stupefied Irina.

''Then? 'Sup with you guys???''

''It's just..'' . With her eyes, Neha nags Aaron to say it.
