A week later....

Aaron is back to ground zero. The room again feels like a cage. Aaron doesn't open the window, doesn't let the breeze come in. It feels like Francisco trip was just a mirage, a 'smudge' in his happily  depressing life. Heck, it doesn't even feel depressing for Aaron. The world is on the play button, he's on the pause; a permanent one. This pause loops, and keep on looping. It has to stop, but does he feel the need to?

It's a lazy Friday. His laptop is there, lying next to him, and he doesn't bother to look at it. Instead, he checks his phone time to time, and when it flashes the words 'No Miss calls' and ' No texts' , it makes him relaxed; excited that he can be alone just be erased from existence. he looks at the trashcan, which is now full of Chinese souvenirs along with the chocolate scarps. He feels very clean to rub out any evidence of the Francisco trip, and only one of them remain.

The pottery.

Of all the things easily disposed, this one was very hard. Still is. He used to see Irina whenever he summoned it, but now he sees himself. All those thin, long gaps were meant to reflect the flaw in humans, and as Aaron stares at them, they grow thicker everyday. Today, he finally has the courage to correct the flaws. Today, he is going to deliberately throw the pottery out of the window, and be finally free of anything that's stopping himself. He takes it by force and approaches the window, but just as he looks down, he wonders: should he throw himself, or the pottery?

Aaron shakes his head and mumbles, ''Maybe another day'', just as his button phone buzzes beside the laptop. One childish part of him would tell him to dive into the bed and read the text like reading The Treaty of Versailles, but that child is long gone, dead.

He casually sits on the bed, and reads the text as it goes like, '' Meet at my place at 7. No excuses. Ash''. There is no 'XO' after her name, which she usually types, and it makes Aaron smirk, with a pint of guilt in it.

The mansion is a total eye-opener for Aaron.

He comes too early, at 6:30 PM, but the view of the mansion is worth the time spent by. The sound of the calling bell is itself opulent, and even before he ends thinking about it, a butler opens the door and soon leads him to the drawing room.
