Nathan was pounding on the bathroom door for fifteen minutes. You know why? I took his boxers from his bag whilst he was preparing his clothes and this is what I thought I’ll do to him.

“Eleanor, open the door”

“What did you just call me?!? I told you I hate being called Eleanor”

“Alright, Lea can you please open the door”

“The name’s Ellie and I hate your new nickname for me”

I opened the door and handed him his boxers.

“You didn’t let me finish my shower”

I flipped my hair a few times before going out the doorway and letting him in.

“That’s what makes you beautiful”

“Stop saying that and start showering”

Paige, Melody and Caylah were sitting with me in the cafeteria; still doing the same actions, Paige and Caylah laughing at the geeks sitting behind us whilst whispering about all of them and Melody actually talking about her mom being pregnant to a boy. It was good news for all of us but it was what all kids wanted.

“So how are you and Nathan? Talked yet?”

“Yeah, we did last night. We talk through it and we’re alright now”

“Finally I thought the two of you weren’t getting through it. And speaking of Nathan”

She pointed behind me whilst smirking.

“Hi Nate”

“Its four o’clock aren’t you supposed to be home by now”

“Nathan’s right, hey Nate can you stop by our house so we can play another game”

Paige was already smiling and kept looking back to the geeks behind them.

“What game?”

“I don’t know maybe Truth and Lie”

Truth and Lie- a game Paige and Caylah invented for all of us. They ask us a question and we answer something that’s true and also a lie.

It’s easy as pie.

Melody was looking at me and Nathan before thinking of a question she was gonna ask Nathan.

“Nate, how if you were dating Ellie in the future and you were hiding your relationship from your mom, suddenly one day your mom spotted you with her and you were kissing her. When you went home your mom asked you if you were really dating your best friend and how long you’ve been together. What truth will you answer and what lie will you tell?”

“Most of all I’m telling her the truth that I am dating her for real and we’ve been dating for a long time. And P.S I’m not telling her a lie”

Everyone cooed as I was staring at him smiling and feeling my heart beat faster. Nathan then turned to me making eye contact.

“Caylah, Paige, I’m home; where are you girls?!?”

Their eyes widen and rushed out the door. I turned to Nathan and gave him a smile. Caroline went in my room and looked at Nathan and Melody.

“Instead of wasting your time with those kids why won’t you just go to the cabana and clean the pool”

She turned around and left the attic.

Melody made a look before she left and closed the door. Nathan’s eyes were still fixed with mine, our gaze wasn’t broken yet. Melody cleared her throat making me look at her and break the eye contact.

“I’m sorry to break the teenage romance but we really need to stop the romance. You guys are too young”

“Please, what about Logan?”

“They’re rumors, I’m not dating him. And I think the rumor of the two of you dating isn’t a rumor”

“It’s a rumor”

“Then why did Nathan kiss you in the hall?”

“Ask him”

“Guys, I’m going home. I’m in baby-sitting duty tonight. Melody, are you coming home too?”

“Yeah, give me a minute”

I see Nathan is baby-sitting Jessica again. Well, she’s not a big problem; she’s a bundle of joy. But being in Santa’s naughty list is her biggest weakness and Nathan saying that he doesn’t believe in fairies. It was really amazing watching over her at night.

“Hey, mind if I come? Caroline wouldn’t be too melodramatic about me being in your house tonight”

Jessica was picking a book for me to read her to sleep. She has a shelf of books to tuck her to sleep. How can Nathan even read all of this?

“El, can you read me ‘Briar-Rose’?”

“The Grimm Brothers’”

She nodded, and laid-back on her bed; the beautiful cover on the book was distracting me from reading it for her. I opened the book and saw the drawing of a kingdom.

*Twenty minutes later*

Nathan sneaked in whilst Jessica was already fast asleep. I put the book back on her shelf and walked to his room. The bed was placed in a different spot on the room, and it was already a double-deck.

“Welcome to my new room”

“Yeah definitely new, and you took out those drawers”

“I’m already a teenager; you know how they all go”

“I know everything Nate”

“Hey, if you ever see the top-bed all messed up. Jessica slept there last night”

“I can tell”

He gave me a warm smile before crashing on his bed and throwing the covers over his head. But there was something he was doing making me feel warm; the most warming thing that I have ever felt. A warm smile and a warm look on his eyes.

I had trouble falling asleep; Nathan was still in the same position two hours ago when he was asleep.  He really was a teenager, most of all I have been noticing the years he grew older the more he became gorgeous.

No yearning but he was pretty hot for a thirteen year old. Look at me right now. I’m falling hard for him. And I don’t know if he still returns the feeling. My stupid thought about Caylah was turned to Melody. Even when she asked him to kiss someone he fancies and he kissed me, there was a shock look on her face when I pulled away.

Melody couldn’t as well be falling for Nathan? We’ve been here before but only Caylah and now we talk to each other. Are Melody and I gonna have a fight for a boy?

Love all she can; it's a mistake not to. It doesn't so much matter what she does in particular, so long as she have her life. If we haven't had that what have we had?
