"What's wrong with you?" Hana asked as she walked into the apartment she shared with Chan. Her poor older brother was cuddled in a large blanket, his nose red with large bags under his eyes. His peroxide blonde locks only served to make him look even more sick. Wadded tissues littered the couch beside him.
Hana didn't need to ask to know he was suffering with the worst disease known to man.
The man cold.
"I have the flu," Chan groaned, letting his head fall back on the couch. Although Hana stood corrected, he looked no different from when he had a simple head cold, so it was hard to predict the severity of his illness. "I already went to the hospital. There's nothing they can do but let it pass."
"So you're just going to infect our living room with your flu germs?" Hana squeaked, purposely maintaining as much distance form him as she could. The last thing she needed was to get sick; she could make fun of Chan all she wanted for how he acted when he was sick, but she was truthfully no better.
"Consider it an early birthday present," he grinned through his snot, leaving Hana disgusted. She absolutely hated this time of year; Chan always ended up getting sick, and without fail, he always passed it on to her because she was always the one to take care of him. As much as she hated it, though, she owed him that much for always taking care of her. Because of him, she always had a home, she always had food, and she always had family.
So, despite her disgust, and despite knowing the pattern that happened in their household, she still called in and took the whole week off in order to take care of her brother. With Chan keeping her busy, she didn't make a lot of time to talk to Jungkook, even though she constantly thought about him.
About mid-week, she made an excuse to go to the office, in hopes that she could at least see his face. Because of the lesson he'd taught her himself, she always backed all of her work up on both computers, one of the ones being her personal laptop. However, she could easily swing the 'I forgot' tale, and go by work to copy her files to bring home.
She knew it was stupid, but she missed him.
Also, she desperately wanted to get out of the house.
After promising Chan to get stuff for homemade, extra spicy ramen like their mom made it, she headed towards Bangtan Studios. Without a doubt, she had put much more effort into a 'grocery store trip' than she was proud of.
Once she got to the building, she immediately made her way upstairs, seeing all of the boys hard at work. Well, most of them.
"Hana," Jimin enthused, standing up and capturing the attention of the other guys.
"Hana-ssi! I thought you weren't coming in today," Hoseok smiled from his seat.
"We're happy to see you anyways," Jimin clarified, frowning toward Hoseok. Hana held up her thumb drive awkwardly to verify her upcoming statement.
