"Taehyung tells me that you're seeing somebody else now," Rina low key interrogated in Yoongi's mother's cafe, looking at Hana suspiciously as she took a sip of her tea, large brown eyes peering over at her just above the large, baby pink tea cup. "He just isn't sure who."
It was obvious her best friend was going to do her best to siphon the mysterious information out of Hana. She had been fully intent on giving Rina the details, but her relationship had just been established at the beginning of this week, and she wanted to see how it would do before announcing it.
It was not lost on Hana that her relationship with Jungkook was already off to a rocky start, given the issues he's had almost his entire life. He'd spent so much time pushing her away, ensuring that she kept her distance that for a little while, she truly hated him. She wasn't much better; her lack of social aptitude always charged her poor responses to any of his actions.
However, this past week had been so smooth and effortless. Not wanting to rush into things, or push Jungkook past his limits accidentally, they'd mutually agreed that it would be best if Hana and Jungkook stayed the night at their own places. Maybe in time, that would change, but for now, they were both sure that this was the best decision.
Perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad thing to tell the person she trusted the most, besides her brother, that she was seeing Jungkook. The only thing, Hana knew, was due to the reputation he had within his circle of friends and co-workers, that this information would likely come as a huge shock. Still, she needed to stop treating it as if it were a huge deal, and normalize the idea of Jungkook being in a stable and healthy relationship among the group.
"He's right, I am," Hana confirmed, picking up her own cup of tea and taking a slow sip to build up the suspense. Rina was on the edge of her seat by now, leaning over the table with her earthy orbs piercing right through Hana. If looks could kill, Rina would have an impending trial for murder.
"With who?" Rina asked, her tone going up a few octaves, causing Hana to smirk mischievously that her stalling had bothered Rina so much. Not wanting the fun to be over, she only shrugged her shoulder, watching intently as Rina took another frustrated sip of her tea.
"It's Jungkook," she answered with perfect timing, biting the inside of her cheek as Rina choked on her drink, some of it exiting through her nose. Despite the intent biting, Hana couldn't hold in her laughter as Rina stared at her with a cold look.
"That's not funny," she pursed her lips.
"I'm not joking," Hana proclaimed flatly, "It's been a little rocky for a while, but we've been officially seeing each other for about a week." She halted her explanation, allowing Rina to absorb this new information, which was clearly hard to believe.
