Trey
"Hey." I said softly shaking her as she slept in my chest.
She jumped and sat straight up as she looked at her surroundings.
"It's me." I said softly stroking her hair, "you wanna go get in my bed? I'll sleep out here so you can get comfortable."
She finally turned to me and sighed in relief.
She grabbed her phone from the coffee table in front of the couch we'd been lying on.
"Shit!" She said looking at the time.
She jumped up and put her shoes on, "I gotta go."
"You can stay if you want." I heard myself offer.
She smiled bashfully, "I'm flattered but I gotta get home. I don't want my sister worried about me. I never stay out this late."
After leaving the rink, we'd come back to my hotel suite and hung out a little more getting to know each other and watching a little TV.
Somehow, we'd fell asleep amidst all that.
I nodded as I stood up too, "I get it. At least let me make sure you get there safely, I can catch a Lyft back."
"That won't be necessary." She quickly replied grabbing her backpack purse and placing it on before turning to me, "I had a really great time tonight."
"Me too," I said stroking her cheek, "We gotta do this again."
"Yep." She said gazing into my eyes.
I sucked my teeth and grabbed her hand, "Lori, just stay."
She reluctantly pulled her hand back, "I can't. I gotta go, but I'll see you around."
I was slick offended by that comment.
"You'll see me around?" I repeated.
"Yeah." She said shrugging, "you're cool and we vibe amazingly, but don't think that I forgot about your relationship. Technically, I'm not supposed to be here with you right now."
I sighed, "Baby, I told you, it's complicated."
I noticed the twinkle in her eye whenever I called her baby. She could front all she wanted, but I knew she wanted me just as badly as I wanted her.
"And I heard you, but I'm not into seeing guys that are spoken for." She said.
As salty as I felt right now, I couldn't even be mad at that.
"I guess I gotta respect that." I said nervously licking my lips.
"Yes, you do." She said smirking as she walked up on me, "but I do like you so I'm open to hanging out again as long as we don't cross any boundaries that would insinuate something deeper between us."
