Trey
I went to our bedroom and found Lori lying in bed watching TV.
Her eyes glanced at me when I walked in the room.
"Hopefully, you didn't find what I said too disrespectful, but she..."
I put my finger up to her lips and laid down beside her.
"She's gone."
She looked perplexed.
"What? Where is she?"
"I sent her to a hotel." I said studying her face.
She sighed and shook her head.
"You didn't have to go that far."
"She is not gonna disrespect you." I said clearly.
She looked at me endearingly before gently touching my chin.
"I love you."
"I love you too." I said touching her stomach.
"But I can't have you and your mom's relationship strained all because of me. Y'all have to make up, for you and Christian. He loves her." She replied.
"Baby, I love you. So until she can learn to respect you, the relationship can stay strained." I said matter of factly.
She sighed and shook her head.
I laid there staring at her while her mind raced a mile a minute.
After a while, my eyes got heavy and I was out cold.
Lori
"I am the master of my abilities and my fate." I whispered to myself running my fingernail tips over my swollen belly.
