I felt the last piece of makeup masking my sorrowful face. The veil was place on my head. The thorns of the roses pricked my finger drawing a little bit of blood which was inadequate to the blood I could spill if I did not go through with this.

"You're so lucky," an old woman chirped as she flattened my dress. I smiled weakly, the smile not reaching my eyes.

They opened the door and I entered.

The organ honked out my funeral as every step I took caused my throat to close up. The humidity made the dress even heavier. I felt like it was a straight jacket enclosing me. I felt the tears pushing and I closed my eyes and opened them. The lights shone and my eyes blurred slightly causing me to wobble on my stilts. I walked slowly making sure to elongate the time. I felt all eyes burning into me with false happiness. No one knew what was going on, no one knew how I felt. Camaxtli stood there proud and smug and looked up and down my body hungrily. I shivered in fear as I watched the priests blood red robes glow in the overbearing light of the chandelier. The uncomfortable heat mingled with sweat of the guests as I walked painfully slow.

As I reached the altar and I felt my heart breaking. It was finally happening; I was going to spend my life in a living nightmare. I stood there and my eyes smarted. The priest's grossly gigantic stomach wobbled as he spoke.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony," he started. The words washed past me as I tried to concentrate on him. My 'maid of honour' stood next to me grinning like an idiot. She was stupid. I could never forgive her for what she did.

"Camaxtli, do you take Robyn as your lawful wife to hold and to cherish till death does you part?" the priest asked bringing out the rings.

"I do," he replied slipping the ring onto my trembling finger. I could feel the tears slipping as I cried. Where was Demetri when I needed him the most?

"Robyn, do you take Camaxtli as your lawful husband to hold and to cherish till death does you part?" he asked. I choked and looked at him. Camaxtli glared at me. I dropped the ring accidentally trying to get it through my clammy fingers. I saw Regina nowhere to help me.

"I......do," I cried.

The End

Or so you thought.
