A talk before the trip

Jade just left Ruby's lab and was all bandaged up from her.

Ruby: just take it easy and you'll be fine.

She waved him off as she flipped onto the couch.

Jade: never knew you could flip so well?

Ruby: Well, watching footage of you flipping all the time sure does make me memorize some of it.

Jade: good to know.

Jade walked into his room and Weiss immediately saw his messed up lip. even though it was barely visible

Weiss: what happened to you?!

Jade: I'll be fine. I just ran into a wall.

Ruby: you sure do run into things a lot?

She spins around in his desk chair.

Jade: I'll be fine seriously.

He went over and sat down on his bed.

Jade: with my aura and my- and the stuff I got from my sister I should be fine by Sunday. See my lip is already closing.

She walked on over and grabbed him by the shoulders. She gets in real close to see his lip was basically absolutely fine. Instead of backing away she gave him a kiss.

Ruby: wait, what?

They separate and Weiss sat down next to him.

Weiss: I couldn't help myself.

Ruby stops and rolls to the front of the two.

Ruby: you...and you...are you...?

Jade: dating? Yes, we are.

Ruby: woah! That's crazy!

Jade: is it really that surprising?

Ruby takes a second to think.

Ruby: maybe! I don't know? But are you two ready for the field trip?!

Jade: I might skip-

Weiss: young man you will not be skipping anything!

She gets up and stands in front of Jade.

Jade: fine...I'll be there.

Ruby: heya, uhhh, Weiss?

Weiss sits back down and nods to Ruby.

Ruby: why are you wearing Jade's clothes?

She asked in a curious tone unlike grown up Ruby who instantly knew what had happened.

Jade: her clothes got covered in mud while we were outside so I gave her mine. Yes, I did run home in my boxers just to put other clothes on.

Ruby laughs as she imagines Jade full speed running through Vale in his underwear.

Weiss: nice one.

Jade: no problem.

Ruby stops laughing and spins in the chair.

Ruby: hey? What's that picture?

He had a few posters around his room so Ruby was just now noticing the small one with Weiss staring at her scroll with a smile. This was not a picture that was gifted it was one he literally stole off the internet.

Weiss: is that-?

He jumped at the photo and ripped it off the wall to save himself from the embarrassment. What he didn't realize is that he was now hanging off the wall but quickly got down.

Weiss: Jade why?

She wasn't talking about the picture but the fact he can't hide his powers for the life of him.

Jade: I would have no idea what your talking about, my dear snow queen.

Ruby noticed but didn't really pay attention to it.

Ruby: what would that ship name be between you two?

He stands there as Weiss stares in confusion.

Ruby: white rose?

Jade gets a chill up his spine.

Jade: I hate it. Don't ever say that again, please.

Ruby nods and Jade sits down next to Weiss once more.

Ruby: Okay, let's not talk about that then.....
