Chapter Sixteen

Chapter Sixteen- Bonding Time

*Pandora's Pov*

"Pandora, sweetheart I'm going out to the store today. Maybe while I'm gone you can take a nice hot bath." My mother's voice rang while she was walking out the door, I just nodded my head enough for her to leave.

It's been a few days since Ace died, again. At this point I've pretty much have adapted to cope with it, and it was hard to be sad when you have a boyfriend that constantly falls off the couch when he's sleeping. 

I won't lie, dealing with his death has been hard; but Constantine always kept my head above water. Everything happens for a reason, and I'd have to believe that else I'd go insane.  

"Pandora do you want me to run the bath water for you?" I heard a charming voice ring from the staircase. 

"If you want, I'll be up there in a minute." I responded as he nodded his head filled with messy dirty-blonde hair. 

I was thinking that maybe it was about time I head back onto the ship, help out the team and get myself in order. You know, so that way I could make his death at least meaningful. 

With that, I took the blanket off of me and put my fuzzy slippers on and made my way to the upstairs bathroom. 

When I opened the bathroom door, there were lit candles, and rose petals surrounding the bathtub along with two glasses and a bottle of champagne.

I gave a smile to John that actually hurt my face and I started to blush.

"Wow, Constantine. You didn't have to do this." I told him with surprise in my voice.

"Well, I just wanted to help you feel better and I was trying to seduce you." He admits.

I chuckled. "Of course you were Johny. I would be seriously worried if you weren't" 

I walked up to him and gently pulled on his tie making him groan, and my face was flushed with the color red. 

He then placed both of his hands on my face kissing me on the lips slowly, while I hurried to undo his belt. 

After we got out of the bath, I went to my old room and got dressed with John wanting to talk to him about me coming back to work. 

"What is it love?" I felt John's breath on my neck as he bit my ear. 

"I was thinking you know, that it's finally time that I go back to work with the legends." 

"If you feel like you're ready, then I'll come back with you." He told me with a small smile. 

"Honestly, I'm probably as ready as I'll ever be. I'll just have to push through." I told him. 

"You're starting to sound a lot like me now." I could hear the sarcasm in his voice. 

"Is there a problem with that, because what can I say you're rubbing off on me?" I gave him a confused look. 

"No, there isn't I just want you to be your own person Pandora. You're and will always be the person I fell in love with, I just want you to be comfortable with who you are." 

After he finished his sentence I placed a sloppy kiss onto his lips, "You drooled on me." He said before we both burst out laughing. 

Back on the Waverider 

We've been back for a few days now, the sympathetic looks only lasted for about a day but every now and then they come and check up on me. I've also fully moved into John's room now, most of his closet space was being taken up by my clothes. 

The pain of Ace's death, didn't get easier per-say. However it was easier to carry around when I was around my friends and family. 

I was just finishing my hair, which was in french braids and the rest of my makeup. 

Then I walked out into the lounge where I heard Sara speaking.

"You know, ever since Neron has been gone, it had been a lot easier to catch the fugitives." 

To be honest, I don't know if I really believe that Neron is actually gone. It's just one of those gut instincts that try to tell you something is wrong before something bad ends up happening. 

"I'm proud to say we finally got him this time." I lied through my teeth to try and make Sara feel better about herself.  I just couldn't accept the fact that it was so easy to kill him; even thought Nora was still unconscious. John hasn't been here since I first arrived searching every time period for something to help Nora heal. 

He had told me to stay here, so that I can finish healing mentally and then begin helping the others catch magical creatures again. 

"You have a darkness inside of you that needs to be unleashed."

I was starting to think maybe he was right about that, there was definitely some unfinished business with Neron and all I know is that he for sure, was not dead.
