Chapter Seventeen

Chapter Seventeen- Possessions and Obsessions 

*Pandora's Pov*

Things around the wave rider have been of the norm, nothing unusual had happened; considering our line of work at least. 6 days later and Constantine had still been off in crazy land trying to find a phoenix feather to heal Nora with. I basically have a routine now, which is odd considering my life story and what not, but I'll admit it has been nice. 

Although my suspicions, that Neron is not actually dead I think it was about time I'd get over myself and let myself be happy. Even if it's just for a few weeks, it's better than not being happy at all.  

However, I'm a little concerned as I'm late on my period, I'm sure it's nothing but I was still going to check with Gideon shortly to make sure. It's not that I didn't want kids, because lets face it who doesn't want a baby with John Constantine. It would just be the timing, as we are still trying to arrest magical fugitives. 

Now on that topic, it is scary thinking about having children. While it's a joyful process, it's also a scary one. That was always one of my fears; don't know why it just was. 

I had walked into the med bay, seeming as there was no one else on the ship besides Ray;they were all on a mission and I decided to stay here instead. 

"Hey Gideon." 

"Good afternoon, Ms.Archer how can I assist you today?" Her voice was very perky, usually always was. 

"Um, actually I was wondering you could run an ultrasound?" My voice slowly faded out as I finished the sentence.

"Of course Miss Archer just lay down on one of the beds as I prepare." She had responded, no difference in her voice. 

"I'm going to start scanning now, Miss Archer." She had informed me, while I saw line of blue lights scanning me. After the scan was finished the lights had begun to turn green as I heard Gideon's voice.

"Well, Miss Archer, you're indeed pregnant. You're precisely 3 and a half weeks along your first trimester." My heart had dropped, how was I going to tell John? What if he didn't want kids? He's already had so much PTSD from them, was he going to hate me?

"Miss Archer are you alright?" Ava's random appearing voice drug me out of my thoughts. 

"Huh? Yeah I'm fine, did you need something?" I questioned as to why she was here. 

"Yes,actually you're needed back at the Time Bureau. Constantine is back and I'm afraid you're in a lot of danger on the ship." Ava spoke as she opened her time courier and drug me through the portal. 

I was met faced to face with John and Nora, he had some how managed to get the phoenix feather after all. 

"Pandora, Neron isn't dead. He's possessed Ray." Those words terrified me more than finding out I was pregnant in itself. 

"I knew he wasn't dead, I'd had a hunch for awhile now." I confessed. 

"We need to alert the team before they get back on the ship they could be in a lot of danger."

"I had already tried contacting Sara, no answer." 

"Bollocks." John snarled. 

I couldn't help but think we were on the losing side, that everyone that was around me was going to end up dead, or worse. 

Nora kept looking as me up and down, almost like she knew something the others didn't. Meanwhile John used his hand to wipe his mouth frustrated. 

"We need to do something, we are already on the losing side!" I exclaimed clearly my stress and anxiety was rising.  

"Pandora, what is wrong with you?" Director Sharp gave me a death glare as she spoke. 

"What do you mean? What is wrong with me?" I slowly started raising my voice, as I was getting aggravated. 

She went to open her mouth but, then stopped as John kept shooting me looks. 

"I have to go back onto the ship, and warn them. " John states before using Ava's time courier.

"Constantine, no!" Before I was able to stop him, he was gone. 

"I have to go help the Bureau, you two make sure no one gets killed." Ava sounded stern when she said this, almost like she was putting on an act, then she walked off. 

Then Nora turns to me and speaks, "You're pregnant?" 

I was shocked, how could she possibly know when I just found out? 

"How did you know?" I questioned. 

"I can feel the baby's energy, either he or she has or will have powers." 

"Does Constantine know?" I had shaken my head no as she gave me a sympathetic look. 

"We need to go help John!" I panicked. 

"No, you need to stay here if anything happened to you- or the unknown baby he would kills us all himself." She protested and then vanished. 

What have I gotten myself into?
